Fire Pics
by Adam Housley
The picture of the day, will actually be pictures of the day.
These are the firefighters from Anaheim California, fighting the Malibu fire in Carbon Canyon. I snapped these as they fought the fire right next to our live location.
We would eventually have to evacuate and the home….is STILL STANDING!

How awful is the air to breathe for you Adam?
On Alisyn’s blog she is reporting that you had to suddenly haul butt when the flames got to close! Thanks for the up close reports, but stay safe!!!!!
Great reporting Adam – but please be safe. I’m glued to my Fox News today as I try to clean my house (it’s my day off).
Like Natalie, I am also concerned about that smoke you and your team are breathing. It’s certainly not a job for the faint of heart!
my brother lives in San Diego county is that close to where the fires are? I tried to call him and hes in New ENGLAND RIGHT NOW so i guess the fires not near him (j/k) Adam stay safe im worried you will be hurt
That was a great victory for the Fire Dept. Stay safe Adam and don’t forget your inhaler and sunglasses.
What an incredible picture!!!!!!! I can’t believe that house is still standing, that’s next to impossible. I just cant get over this photo.
The fire looks like it is just a few feet away-
The house may still be standing- but the damage with all that smoke? And I am sure the other homes which make it through will have all that damage too-
I just saw Adam on Fox- I hope the heck this is not caused by an arsonist- Adam thinks it has to do with the power lines being down-
Greg Hughes the Pastor for the Church is talking now- what a loss-
That is an amazing picture Adam. Stay safe!
I can’t even tell if this is day or night-
If that’s not a picture of hellfire and eternal destruction, I don’t know what is.
More than praying for strength, I think America needs to pray that these firefighters don’t lose their wills to fight this overwhelmingly catastrophic fire.
At least the firefighters are not bailing- I just hope these guys get a lot of help- you know they are exhausted-
I really hope President Bush and Gov. Arnold do something to honor these firefighters-
Mark-
If this is what hell looks like, I am redeeming my ways, pronto-
I will relinquish my spot for the arsonists-
Did anyone think that maybe this could be a terrorist attack. It’ s the easiest way to destroy the most property and cause chaos. The only equipment and planning a terrorist needs for this kind of thing is a cigarete lighter and the right winds.
I too think this is terroism. The country is glued on the fires, who knows what the terrorists are doing when our attention is elsewhere.
That’s what you get when you attempt to live in an area that is prone to this type of regular occurrence (brush fires). There better NOT be a government bail-out. If insurance does not cover it, then it is irresponsible to live in an area that prone to such regular occurrence. I lived in So-Cal when I was in the Marines (Camp Pendleton) and brush fires were a regular occurrence! Come and live near the Great Lakes! We have plenty of water and no natural disasters. Housing is affordable. Winter activities (snowboarding, skiing, ice skating & SNOW ANGELS) abound. Hope to see you soon
I used to live in this canyon and I was born in Anaheim! It absolutely amazes me that these firefighters were able to save a house with this hellish fire all around it! It seems impossible to me but they are heroes! I hope that the many people that move back into their homes realize what these firefighters went through in order to keep these people lives intact! It is so heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time! I agree that it does seem that terrorism could be likely..how could all of this happen naturally?
I don’t know what to say about that picture. It is breathtaking and sad at the same time. You really can’t tell if it is day or night. Stay safe Adam What a way to start your new blog. You are really getting a workout.
I don’t much understand how this would be related to terrorism, Terrorism is about putting fear in those they wish to destroy, and terrorists always take blame for what they created. Who knows anouther dubbed tape of OSAMA will pop up saying he started the fires. I feel bad for all those loosing there homes, and putting a hinder on there life’s thus far.

Well Notice the Bin laden Tape that came out a few days ago ???? Something is happening im freaked out
