Hi J. Haire... GREAT question!
The California Cowboys have it right... just hose down your house with water and it comes clean. I just got off the phone with the folks at Barricade Gel, and they said in the worst case scenario, you might have to use a power washer, but usually, it's just a garden hose that does the trick. For more about this product, you can go to the website; www.barricadegel.com. I don't want to be a commercial for them, but it all sounds good to me, if you are in the path of a firestorm.
Thanks for reading the Lowdown, and for your comment!

How is the fire protectant gel removed from your house or building once the threat is over?

A couple of us were talking about possible preventative measures on Adam's blog. Not being faced with this problem, I did not realize so many options already existed. The public in fire prone areas need to be educated about what steps can and should be taken before something like this happens.
