More Juice
So tomorrow, many of us are off again to our new second home…Las Vegas. Before you give me/us too much grief, remember I like the early shift, which usually means 2am-12pm. Here’s the rundown and I will be posting more stories tomorrow.
The OJ arraignment is expected to last 10 to 20 minutes and is scheduled to begin about 10am Vegas time. Judge Jackie Glass is in charge at the Criminal Justice Center in Las Vegas. Like the previous days, Simpson will come in one side and exit the other. All the interesting folks will wander about around all sides of the courthouse and someone will likely be selling t-shirts. Several will also claim a government conspiracy took their money and of course there’s always the OJ is framed crowd.
I’ll be working with Bob Massi and producer Nora Zimmett and photographer Eric Barnes. Nora and I worked together in Venezuela earlier this year and Barnes and I were a team covering the tsunami, so I know them both well and have worked with them many times. They are great.
As for O.J. Simpson, he’s spent the last couple of weeks in Miami “golfing and taking care of the kids,” his lawyer said. The controversial guy will stand trial on charges including kidnapping, armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, coercion and conspiracy. You might remember his Defense attorneys lost a bid to get any of the 12 charges dismissed, despite claims they were based on the accounts of con artists and crooks.

I was just about ready to sign off and I see you put this up-
Don’t forget to take pictures of these interesting folks-
Isn’t Jackie Glass to be the trial judge too? I hear she is pretty strict-
Your shift starts at 2:00 a.m? If you get to bed now, you might get five hours sleep- what kind of vitamins do you take? I want a year’s supply-
Now if you had those t-shirts ready, I could have been there selling these-
I will check in to see what happened- You know where I will be- looking at every western state to see where the picture of the day is- (but I will admit, I am curious as to how the arraignment turns out)
thanks again for the fun!
I left something I received in my email in the Corral fire entry- it is really neat-
Night owl huh? I bet there will be lots of interesting pictures to take at 2 am in Las Vegas LOL!! I have to admit, I tried to watch OJ in court a few weeks ago…it was a snooze fest for me. It just seems to me either there were guns there, he was there, he didn’t tell anyone to put them away, case closed LOL! I think I may be a prosecutors dream.
Man, I hope the Barrel Guy is there…………bring a bag of ice, just in case. I hear it gets mighty hot inside those barrels………..maybe he can help you chill down the bottled water.
ok Adam.. I’ll go easy on giving you grief… but here’s the deal… I’ll be at work w/o access to a tv
so, when the news breaks, I have only a couple of choices where I can get updates, you’re one of them. you’ve done a fantastic job at bringing us bloggers up close to the stories in the past.
but the deal is… you’re not allowed to forget your camcorder. because some of us will miss your live reports, the compensation for that could be some fun behind the scenes stuff (I guess you’ve spoiled us).
have a safe trip… and I’m looking forward to some laughter tomorrow.
Good morning
I just hope the jurors can differentiate which crime OJ is being tried for; I know there are alot of OJ haters out there, but in the other trial, he was found NOT GUILTY.
I hope OJ gives the judge one of those head bobs or big yawns like he did at the hearing, so she can see how serioulsy he is taking all this.
Yes, they all seem to be con artists and crooks, but that seems to be the type of people that hang with OJ, so………what…….let them all go because who can you believe??
Adam,
Safe traveling! Bob is like a Las Vegas legion huh? I thought he lived in CA, but his reports sound like he is living there full time.
Gotta go Rat Terrior is eating a coke can, my kids can’t put away anything. If he thinks there is a drop of soda, he goes crazy!
Kathy – my dog does the same thing. She is a golden retriever puppy (3 1/2 months) and will chew on ANYTHING. She jumps up and gets the cans that we are drinking.
Kathy,
I love this puppy, he is the light of my life but he is a puppy only a mom could love. He hunts anything, tracks any smell. I never knew rat terriors were so smart. He has panic attacks when I am gone, he shakes until I calm him when I come home. Used to be only if no one was here, now he is like that about me only. I adore him, but he is a lot of work.
Adam,
OJ kids have to be almost grown, it has been a long time since Nicole was killed. And they were not babies. What a crock he is taking care of the kids!
Adam….Im back from my train trip to Monterey…it was AWESOME…Monterey was wonderful…I wasnt as impressed ewith the aquarium as I thought…seemed similar to the one in Long Beach….I really liked Cannery Row and riding the free trolleys around the area…I also visited Carmel which was to die for !!! Breathtakingly beautiful !
Natalie-
I am glad to see you are back- I missed you-
Golfing and kids hu? H*ll our kids could take care of themselves when they were 12…just how dependant are his kids?
It is just so hard to take anything OJ serious anymore. Those guys that he surrounded himself with, are all a bunch of cr*p (and we all know that draws more flies)
Karma….its just karma…”what comes around…”
Sorry Adam, but I hope this doesn’t drag out forever. There has to be other news more worthy. His mug doesnt deserve the air time.
Natalie ..oh that sounds wonderful!!! Im glad you enjoyed!!
thanks Susan….I was gettn blog withdrawels while gone LOL
Patty..I was really fun and different
maybe Adam’s having breakfast with the chicken
Natalie-
need help on the picture of the day-
Patty- you and I feel the same about OJ- he just loves the attention- but he is so fallen from grace- who cares- I would like for the Goldman’s to have a victory-
And once again- John had something fun to say-
So Adam- from an earlier post- when you replied about going to Mississippi, you stated this was the Dallas coverage- something like that- so my question is- do you as reporters have certain areas which are designated for coverage? How does this work? Do you get a list of stories and you get to pick which ones?
signed,
dumb and dumber
Does Adam have a dog? probably too busy-
Adam, this is total off subject. I just read that parts of California is taking toliet water and turning into drinking water. Is this gross or what? Hope you don’t have to drink any of that water.
Susan G-
I thought only dogs drank out of toilets-
yuck!
Adam-
you crack me up- answering D& D-
So in other words, you aren’t jumping all over the globe but then you are-
I bet you have a half packed bag sitting at home for the spur of the moment-
boy- I am lazy! I call it a full day when I drive 90 miles!
ahhhhh a “lazy susan”…i think i have one of those too! just kidding
Our 3 kids and grandkids are all in the same town….75 miles away…and hubby thinks when we go.. its a “vacation”, talk about a hermit! *L*
I always laugh and reminds him that there are people that commute that far for jobs!!!
We are fortunate, our town is 1 mile square….we live on one side, and work on the other. Round trip to work is 2 miles. There is one stop light, and boy does it p*ss me off when i get stopped! *LOL*
Okay guys you are all over on topics.
Toilet water has been drunk for decades, in cities they recycle the water. My mom’s friend used to tell me that she was in the sh*t business, she was a chemist for the local water department. That is what most water departments do, they run the water and waste water through filtering systems until they are clean.
Most bottled water is just a city water bottled, unless it says differently on the printed label.
Kathy-
I totally agree with u-
I drink the tap water- I am not into the bottled water unless I have to go somewhere in the dead of summer then I pack H2O- but I could care less if my water comes from a designer bottle-
