Watching Peterson case
I remain in New York City this week, where I continue to watch the coverage of the Stacy Peterson disappearance, and the investigation into her husband’s possible involvement. I am not sure if I’ll be returning to Bolingbrook to help with the coverage of the story, at this point, but am standing by. Because I am based in New York, that means that I cover the states in my region, so this story is not in my “jurisdiction”.
Jeff Goldblatt and Steve Brown in our Chicago bureau are doing an amazing job working their sources, and Greta of course is chasing down every lead imaginable. Today it’s all about what Stacy reportedly told her clergyman about the death of Drew’s 3rd wife, (he says she told him Drew killed her) and about Drew’s step-brother who may have unknowingly helped him dispose of her body in a blue barrel.
A friend of Drew’s went On The Record tonight with Greta, and says Drew maintains he did no such thing. It seems like everyday there is a huge development, and I can tell you from being there in Bolingbrook, and hearing about some of the things that haven’t been reported on yet (Fox staff working to confirm many new leads..) there will be much more to come.
In the meantime, I’m working on another story that should air Friday on The Fox Report about a man in Long Island who has been trying to put solar panels on his roof and has been voted down by the Board of Architectural Review in his village. The board members think that the panels will mess up the charming quaint look of the house and that his will no longer fit in with their community if they go up. (the panels were going to be installed in the back) It’s been an interesting story to work on – here you’ve got a guy who wants to do the right thing for the environment, and do his part, but can’t because it’s not pretty enough. He’s fighting the decision… we will bring you the update.

G’morning Laura
Thanks for the update on the Bolingbrook continuing saga; it will be an interesting outcome, to say the least. I think the whole world is watching with all the sub-plots.
Much luck with your current story; don’t know the New York area at all, nor do I care to.
The only thing I associate with the east coast is a guy who drunkenly drove his car off the Chappaquidick Bridge and left a woman to die. He is still a senator; what a disgrace!
Laura, Did your new story air on Friday? I wasn’t able to tune in but interested in the reading/seeing the story. Anyway to see it? I checked the Fox Report site but no luck. Thanks, RP
Drew is sooooooooo guilty IMO………….just waiting for the biggy to take him in.
Thanks for helping to cover this to keep it on top of the news!
