Say it aint so!……
I wasn’t totally shocked by the report yesterday, but Senator Mitchell didn’t give us much new information. If that’s just the tip of the iceberg the iceberg must be pretty huge!
It’s a shame, hopefully so honest non-steroid using players can do really well to show you don’t have to take drugs to compete with these guys.
Adam,
Shep just got owned by duncan Hunter !!!!!!!!!! you gotta see the re play
ADAMM DELETE MY COMMENT MY EMAIL ADDRESS WAS PLACED ( my mistake) plzzzzz
DELETE IT PLEASE
Avi –maybe send an e-mail to Fox News ? mark it urgent.
foxnewsonline@foxnews.com
I’ll wait they are probably off today since its friday ….. this blog aint like gretas were just a few dozen here soo worst comes to worse i just fliter mail and delete it via the filter lol
Avi: at least this isn’t one of the really busy blogs like Greta’s. If it was you’d have the chance of a lot more people seeing it. Plus this doesn’t seem like a busy time of day, so it’s hopeful that no one nasty reads your address and signs you up for spam or anything.
jen’s idea is good, or contact http://wordpress.com/
kk i emailed fox
thx
Remember it’s only 4:20 eastern, not that late.
And how come when ever we write comments at the same time we talk about the same thing?
haha i know right? maybe its men tend to think alike or smth =/ haha ask a phycologoist haa
lol……. this is the second time lol haha weird
Yep, no need to worry about me. I’m a friendly mom.
We need a private line to Adam.
Well maybe we read Adam’s blog for the same reasons. One being that it’s not so busy. There’s no way i can keep up with Greta’s blog.
So maybe we were both remembering that reason, and thinking it fortunate?
Plus aren’t we about the same age?
This list has no one on it that I was shocked by. I was hopeful in 80 names a majority would at least still be playing. When I stated Astros would not have gotten a trade if they knew it would not help I was right. No one on this list is saying they are in trouble, so he will play. The owners knew there was no punishment. My biggest beef is so what? This does nothing to stop the activity. Adam I saw you on Shep, you are correct many in HS are doing steroids. Some parents are starting their kids on roids in Junior high, to get an up on the competition. In hopes of making Varsity as freshmen.
I’m turning 17 in Feb……. yah GRETAS BLOG IS A MESS…. lol Adams blog is much more tight
I guess the Yankees can’t say too much about Barry Bonds any longer.
Maybe that’s why Clemens threw the bat at Piazza? Steroid rage?
Baseball has a history of some cheating from what I remember — didn’t Ford and Mantle throw spit balls? And then there were the corked bats? Am I wrong?
Thanks Man
have fun at the party!
avi, in’t not much older, only 19 and almost 3 months.
We need more Men like Adam Housley playing ball.
Hi Avi -
Recognize you from gretawire – love Greta – not sure about the blog anymore.
I’m soooo glad Derek Jeter isn’t on that steroid list.
lol… the greta bloggers are coming…. uh oh
kidding
Wow— The Hit List- (Mitchell’s)
It has been a very controversial issue- some coverage favors this and others think it is a joke-
On page 306, it talks about these independent agencies for testing randomly and more consistently- I heard, in the past, some of the ball players would get the heads up when there was to be a drug test? I think everyone has held some role in this-
I missed the email commotion-
I check out Greta’s blog- I look at her pictures and the newer topics-She puts up some good ones-
The Drew thing, I just ignore- too much verbal onslaught-
LoL susan you didnt miss much i accidently put my email instead of my name ……
The Fox politcal people also got blogs as well
major, Carol, and embed producers…… interesting read….
by the way i also have a blog where i post articles i havnt written any new ones lately but most of the are opinionated ones so they are relevant.. wwww. teenwire.newsvine.com
Susan: I don’t like watching coverage of missing people much. I normally watch it occasionally just to see what develops, but it’s too depressing to watch every night. It’s sad but it’s not like we can do anything about it. I can understand a blitz of coverage the first few days incase someone spots something, but after that i can’t stand it for long before getting too sad.
Avi, are you Avi Bublick? I want to know if i have found the right guy on that site
Yah thats me .. max
Avi–

Hope you are all relaxed now…you caused a little ruckuss; scared me!
Are you back into the swing of things with school, like going to bed earlier. Ha.
I looked at your teenwire…..site and read a couple of your articles while eating dinner. wow! You are a smarty, as I said before! Stay focused.
*****Hello Max! HELLO SUSAN!
Winter storm is coming so they say—-we’ll see, they are sometimes wrong. So I am off to the grocery.
Max, you can look at my slide too, its on the same thread as Susans.
PARTY ON ADAM..
Avi
I am going to check it out in a bit- I am certainly curious-
Max- I can’t even keep up with all the missing people- people being shot- Two more students were shot- and I just noticed this as I came into Fox- it is just way too much so I would rather learn something than absorb myself with these very horrible stories!
I like the traveling I get to do here for free! I was just in Rhode Island-
Jen–
Hope you are safe- I told Max to check out all of ours- so I included you too- I wanted him to see you too
and your so very cool house!
Avi-
I checked it out- I was on the right track when I said you should get into journalism- you are-
(Also I am the Opinions- Editor of my school newspaper the Virtiual Newspaper . I like to follow …)
I love your picture- You are a very nice looking young man- so serious and pensive! My congrats to your good life you are having now and will be later- You and Max should start a paper together- I will look for cartoons.
Jen can handle the editing- and Patty, if she ever comes back, can leave all the notes pasted everywhere as reminders! We, the girls, will handle the office while you, Max, and Adam hit all the hot spots for the news
As for the HOLIDAY party- we know where to get the vino-
Jen – I saw your slide too, the fish your son caught was very ugly
I like the decor of your house. When i get my own house i hope to get it up in a smiliar way.
Susan: i love to learn too, that’s why i watch the news rather than sitcoms. I do like to see how people respond to disasters though, as how neighbourhoods come together to support eachother cheers me up
Ditto to the sitcom comment- I don’t like to watch anything which comes on every week- but when I was younger I did- I do like Jay Leno- he is the only one I really miss from the writer’s strike- and it is his monologue-
And as for the news- seems lately I have been catching the good stuff from Adam and you bloggers- (or at least becoming interested in things I probably would not have had paid much attention to- so thank you)
What is the time difference between UK and Israel- UK and AZ- Israel and AZ?
I will have to look this up-
I don’t even know what is going on today- I haven’t had the tele on- I was gone and I haven’t even turned it on except for the one in the living room so Ken can watch sports-
Israel is +2, UK is 0, AZ is -7
so 9 hour difference between AZ and Israel.
There were only two sitcoms i ever loved: married with children; & just shoot me.
I think David Spade is hillarious, he grew up in Arizona i think.
Well then Avi is asleep- now what about UK and here?
(Saturday Night Live- the ones with Gilda Radner and Steve Martin, I loved- and guess which other on I loved- Monty Python— We use to laugh so hard- what a bunch of sick ones we were)–
In Search of the Holy Grail- We must have watched this a hundred times-
Is Monty Python still even around? Whatever happened to Benny Hill?
It’s 7 hours, so 2:23am here. bedtime!
Monty Python are still popular here, but they haven’t written anything new for quite some time.
Benny Hill died April 19th 1992 watching tv. He was found 2 days later sat infront of the TV.
Good night Max- that is sad about Benny Hill- Paul Lynde, all time funny guy here, was found this way too-
(Paul had a bad drinking problem)
Sleep well!!
thanks, hope you sleep well too when you do
Max-
I am trying to keep up with Adam-
xxxx
That’s quite a list of players. I’ll admit that the last baseball game I watched was the D-backs at the world series but it’s still sad that so many athletes think they have to use steriods in order to compete. Most of these guys probably had amazing talent to begin with but now have only tarnished their names and the game.
Personally, I think that anyone that has used steriods or other performance enhancing drugs shouldn’t be allowed in the record books at all – asterick or not. Floyd Landis was striped of his win of the tour de france because he tested positive. The same should happen in all sports. As long as cheaters are rewarded, it’s not going to discourage the behavior.
Hey Emily-
Excellent points- Not only that but think of those guys who could have been in a better spot if it had not been for those who were cheating- It is unfair to those who work so diligently to do it in a natural way and lag behind because those with the adrenalin supplement were able to make their mark- And the monetary difference- This is where I see it is unfair-
I had a female neighbor who pumped herself up with steroids- It had been her life dream to win at a body building competition- She was so fixated on winning- She blew up like like the Michelin guy- (this comment is taken from Geoff from Greta’s show)- She had to win- It was ridiculous to watch her- because she was someone who I knew on a friendship level.
But her size was small so she knew she had to have some help- steroids- and to make a long story short, when she did compete here in Az , she placed fourth-
These people get so obsessed with winning or having to win- they go to all extremes- This is what is so sad!
Well no i havnt got back into the swing of waking up at 7:15 am
and being at school at 8 ughh …. starting like next week im going to be super duper busy 3 ( one AP) online HS classes….. all israeli school classes …..and needa start studying for the SAT’s in may the offical SAT study book is like super thick lol…..and some where between that all ( social time) …. the key to it all is not to procastinate… LOL…
OOO and about the online HS paper…. we where supposed to publish our newest editon 2 weeks ago but my other staff members slacked offf and deadlines were not meet. So me and the EIC are working on a refom of the staff becuase nothing is getting done so well see what happens with that when we have our meeting tuesday … Our school advisor is working with us …
Back when i was in elementary school we had a mourning brodcast , with a studio and all and like i operted the Camera/ audio/ signal connection …. but the middle school had the capabilites but the Journalism class was messed up lol… and the israeli school i go to now has a real good broadcasting program with a studio and all but i didnt join it becuase i wanted to take something more realistic and somthing that looks good ( for collage) so i decided my elective to be Enviromential Science which is a topic important to know now days espcially in politcs…
Emily and Susan……….I agree with both of your points regarding steroid use in athletics……..and, if I may add, in professional sports the bottom line is that it all comes down to money. The minor league player is trying to get an advantage to make it into the big leagues………the big league player is trying to gain an advantage over his/her competition to attain “star” status, and and star player is trying to remain a star for as long as they can. All of which means bigger paychecks taken to the bank.
As Adam has said, what is equally disturbing is that the owners and player unions are allowing this to happen……..looking the other way, at the expense of the player’s health. Of course the owners also benefit financially when they can field a team of “star players”.
I don’t know if the records of these “cheating” players should be erased, because where do you draw the line about what is cheating and what isn’t? In baseball, for example, should all records of hitters that have been caught with “corked bats” be erased……Or should a pitcher’s record be eliminated because he threw “spit balls”?………..tough call.
The problem is that in the past steroids were legal, we don’t know how many people in the past used them, and only a few years with it banned in baseball, not a ban being observed though.
Arnold Schwarzenegger used steriods when he was a body builder and early acting days. But it was legal then, and you really could not compete in body building without them before the ban because no one can be that built without steroids.
There is more money in sports than ever before, and it’s not just a small number of super stars now, it’s almost all the players. So people are training harder than ever before, but get tempted to use a little help. But maybe not all the players who are doping know that they are. Not all of them are as bright as Adam
. Their manager could be providing them with with a protien formula, if you go to a gym you’ll see a lot of people drinking them; the manager can mix in steroids and those who aren’t so bright might be conned into thinking it was just the formula and training program.
Just like with Little Hercules, his father was doping him in a formula.
The executives are just as much to blame for this problem as the players.
All the big money for endorcements are just another incentive to dope.
I think it’s impossible to place all the blame, or even the majorety of the blame at the feet of the players themselves.
Greta has a very interesting site. Bloggers can be mean.
Maureen-Hello
I agree, I like to see what Greta has to say and sometimes she has intresting things other than the DP saga. Some of her fans are a little rough. No one ever attacked me the few times I posted, but I was pretty much told to think their way. They’re not too open to thinking outside of the box. Last I checked I don’t have green hair and I am wearing clothes.
Hi Jen S -
I know – that is how it is. Unfortunately, some of the people with differing viewpoints are as harsh in the way they express themselves as those who think like everyone else. Some of the comments are disturbing. There are a few people taking on several personas and ganging up on people.
I am interested in the DP case because I write mysteries, but the DP bloggers are wearing on me. I love Greta – her show is good. If you skim through the junk on the blog, there are some interesting bloggers. The numbers of bloggers have grown so my viewpoint must be the minority.
I tried to express a different viewpoint in one case (not DP) and was creamed – my hair isn’t green either, and I am wearing lots of clothes since it is freezing.

What does it say when it is a relief to discuss the baseball scandal? Since the people coming forward with the info about this scandal are from NY, can’t we assume, it is a much broader problem and every team is involved? Maybe Barry Bonds should be left alone – too bad he might have lied to the Feds.
Adam- Is the weather recking havoc on your travel plans today? Maybe you got to sleep in or planned to anyway after all your partying the past couple nights.
cheers
In any case, take care and have a safe trip home. You are a good man!
John-
long time no talk- You have been quiet lately- too quiet- (do you like have a life?)- I miss your comments- I agree with not having all the records done away with- If this were the case, how far back would one have to go? See what happens when one cheats- John- what is a corked bat?
All I know when I use to play for funsies, there was a bat, a ball, and hopefully I made it to first base- oh- and I bat right handed although I am left handed-
Avi- You are not only bright but very talented- and the more I hear about your life, the more impressed I am- now when you make it big, don’t forget us.
And Max- yup- place the blame around- not just the players- Good analogy- Arnold-
If I did not know for a fact you and Avi are young, I would think there were two college graduates I am exchanging thoughts with-
Jen-
Greta’s show must have been a good one last night- she had to put up several threads, I noticed- I was too busy making Christmas- oops- Holiday cards- on the computer to send to many people- I got them done- and they came out really cool! Smilebox is a great program- My brother sent Ken a birthday card that way and this is how I got turned on to it-
I wish Drew would confess and end of story- done deal- finished- bye bye- so long- adios- see you later-
Max made an great comment about watching the news- he said he likes it when people join in together to help one another out when a tragedy or disaster happens-
I totally agree with him- But how do you find a missing person, 200 miles away blogging your fingertips done to the bone?
Last time I looked, your hair wasn’t green- and I know you were wearing clothes!
Maureen-
I think this baseball scandal is wide spread also. I was wondering if it was more prevalent in the National league or American league, or one team more than the other. I don’t know these players or who or where they played, I don’t follow sports and my husband is more of an outdoors man.
There always seems to be a fall guy and I guess Barry is it.?
Cold here too, 2 inches this morning and now some rain and sleet are coming down. I’m staying in
****We need to go to the ‘Where Is This’ post–We need to make it #1 for comments and beat the old record of 193. Susan I left you a post there this morn.
I gotta go bake a birthday cake–be back later.
John and Susan – you guys are right, it would be nice if we knew who the cheaters were and could make sure they weren’t in the record books, but that’s probably not ever going to be possible. Every time a new test is created to catch the latest performance-enhancing substance, someone will create another drug to beat the test. It’s a never ending cycle where the bad guys always try to be one step ahead of the good guys. It’s a good thing I’m not cynical enough to believe that cheaters always win, because I think it all works out in the end.
Emily-
Just like the store Trails-where one can buy stuff to disguise thier urine analysis for those druggies who have to have this tested when on probation- A probation officer was telling me it is so hard to keep up- because one gets smarter and then they have to get smarter- think about all the money which is spent coming up with new tests for detection-
Jen- whose birthday is it? Are you baking Adam a cake already? Happy birthday to the person who is having a birthday- I am headed to make the picture of the day- numero uno-
Susan……..a corked bat is a baseball bat whose inside has been hollowed out and cork, or a like substance, is put into the cavity. It creates a “livelier” and lighter bat……..this means that the ball, when hit with the bat, comes off the bat faster than if it was hit with a normal bat. Kind of a superball effect. The faster the ball comes off the bat, the futher it will travel, thus you stand a better chance of hitting a homerun, or get a deep hit.
Sammy Sosa, amongst others, has been caught using a corked bat in games. Although he claimed it was one of his batting practice bats ( perfectly legal to use it for practice ) and was mistakenly placed in the bat rack for a game.
Funny you guys mentioned the Greta blog posters and some of their attitudes……..I get a kick out of reading their arguments and I will admit to stoking their fire every now and then……….Hey, it’s all in fun. I think Drew Peterson works for OTR, as does his missing wife………I think Greta hired them to create this ruse because things in Aruba have come to an end and OTR ratings were starting to slip……………….She’s still cool though.
John-
Now you tell me about the corked bat- this would have been perfect for me- I could run and catch but batting- ha- I am much better at croquet-
I know when you are over there on her side- your comments are so funny- I posted one when she asked if Drew’s vehicles should be returned- I said- Yes and include a hearse-
Like you- it is all in fun- and I do agree- Greta is very cool-
I dunno if you guys know this but in Israel theres school on sundays!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
only day of rest is saturday lol zzzzz
Avi-
I did not know this about school on Sundays- Is this a good thing? You sure don’t have time to get into trouble- now are the classes on Sunday the same as on the week-days
Yep!!!!! all schools do like this is nothing new. and the israeli work week is also sun-fri…. we have 6 day weeks! soo like no time to rest or blink …. I finish school usually around 2:30 somtimes 3:10 the latest earlyiest 1:30
then i gotta do online HS/ israeli school homework and yah ….. soo i usually call it a day at 6:00ish 7ish and then chill out lol….. All i can say is this I’m glad in graduting in 09′ becuase every year gets only harder…. i feel bad for kids in elementary school boy are they going to have a hard high school life lol…..
and some where in between hanging out with friends…. haha
some days you just gotta do nothing lol… but one day you slack you lose for the next day .. Ughh!
GOOd Night folks…..
Avi
good night- and you know we are very proud of you here!
Avi-
I am listening MYSPACE users are more savy on politics than non-users… interesting–they show more political interest …. (young people)
Susan:
the only way a blogger can help find someone 200 miles away would be to have an idea of where the person might be and give in a tip.
just wait a few years then i’ll be a college graduate, lol
Max-
exactly- you got my point- so why spend endless hours, days, and weeks speculating where someone is- what a waste of time! — if you are that involved, go there and look!
You are already a college graduate- you just need to complete the schooling to get that piece of paper!!
Well i’ve graduated the college of hard knocks, lol
And yeah, it’s a waste of time to spend that much time, but if you get a sudden spark of inspiration then it’s worth while.
Max-
Personally, I think hard knocks gives character- I don’t know if I would have as much compassion or understanding if I hadn’t made my mistakes- I feel sometimes people who are troubled are not to be judged by their mistakes because there might be an underlying reason as to what caused them to have done what they did- (depending on the circumstances of their actions)
But arrogance- I can’t stand arrogance—-
Max-
these are my favorite movies-
Cinderella Man- determination
March of the Penguins- survival
The Five People You Meet in Heaven-deaing with your demons
Ray- one can always change and do good-
I don’t watch movies often, but one i liked is ‘Sniper’. It’s about marine snipers in the jungles of columbia, and having to battle inner demons as well as drug lords. Semper fi!
Hi Jen – Thank you for answering. My computer is in-and-out today because of the ice storm so I have to write quickly.
~~~~~
Baseball has had issues with cheating. I remember one player was called on it on the field and sandpaper flew out while he was denying – wish I could remember who that was.
I can’t remember who took out the corked bat and, when caught, he said he accidentally took out his practice bat – that was funny -can’t remember who that was either.
I know Mantle and Ford threw spit balls.
Maureen
What area do you live in. Ll?
I am in Northern KY. We had snow yesterday and then rain and sleet but nothing to make us go at a stand still.
I’m glad you came back–tell me about your mystery writing;published?
Hubby says Sosa with the cork bat. ?
You should try Adams picture of the day posts- lots of clean fun!
Hi Jen
I live out east – 60 miles NE of NYC by the Port Jefferson harbor. The weather is disgusting today – it’s dreary and windy (the roads are slippery) here so I only ventured out once. I like snow but this doesn’t qualify as a nice snow day.
I’ve published children’s short stories (sci fiction and detective stories) – journal articles – that’s it. It’s an avocation. I’m writing a mystery (for adults) and hope I can sell it – problem is that I keep changing it and may never finish.
Yes, Sammy Sousa – that was who it was. I think the sandpaper guy was Phil or Joe. Anyway, I’m bad with names.
Adams blog is pleasant. It probably will stay this way unless he starts covering crazy murder cases. I do love Greta, however, and am interested in the stories she covers. I pretty much love everybody on Fox and most of the good shows seem to be on Fox.
David Justice on the “juiced” list would explain his tumultuous marriage to Halle Berry …
The Everett Herald (in WA state) tried to allude that a “juiced” Roger Clemens is “why” the Mariners lost the ALCS in 2000 … Umm, nopers, it’s cause the Mariners suck on a pretty consistent basis …
And we used to think it was bad in the 1980s when players (like Steve Howe & Darryl Strawberry) got busted for possession of Cocaine …
I’m not a fan of Bud Selig … It’s way past time for him to go … The MLB needs a commissioner that has never benefitted financially from the game in any way, shape or form … Bud Selig as an owner made a lot of money for himself & his family with the Brewers … He’s not now nor has he ever been an objective party when it comes to stuff like this …
Max - David Spade is actually from Ohio … not Arizona …
