When it comes to honor killings, let’s not confuse culture and religion. When you look deeper in the middle eastern countries, you will find that honor killings are practiced by Christians in those cultures as well (not all Arabs are Muslims). No matter who is doing it, the barbaric practice should not be tolerated.

My first question is if Yaser Abdel Said did not want his daughters to become westernized, then why did he move to America? Also why didn’t he put them in a Muslim school instead of public school, where kids are trying to express themselves and western culture would be so prominent?

Second, how does the Muslim community view him as he is now acting like a westerner, on the lam, running from an honor killing, which in his country is a lawful act? Here, according to Westerners, he is a criminal on the lam. If he is so sure that he did the right thing, why act like a coward and run?

Last, when are we as a society going to say enough of this Mulism right to abuse women? If these men bring their families here due to greed, then we, as Americans, should be allowed to enforce OUR laws and imprision these men who 1) are mentally unstable 2) have a history of abusing family 3) have children, specifically girls, in public schools.

We need laws passed to protect women from their Muslim fathers and husbands. Unfortunately, Islamic nations have given men the “right” to perform un-Godly acts and get away with it. We need to take a hard line that if these men come to America, they cannot get away with it anymore.

To those who say Islam is peaceful rather than a violent religion, we have a saying in the south: “If it walks like a duck, if it talks like a duck, and if it looks like a duck…it’s a duck.”

While not suitably statistical or scientific for some people, it is good enough to be useful in this case.

I hope they catch the guy and give him the death penalty.

Because they’re not blonde, white college students… and besides it would tend to tarnish the whole Iraq thing to know that these are the “valid” beliefs of those we’re trying to promote and restore in Iraq.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but does anyone honestly think that the Muslim regime we “put” into place in Iraq will be any more open to women than the regime we toppled? If we leave today and come home with parades and streamers the women of the middle east (not just Iraq) will be second class citizens AT BEST. Again, this is the “rich, wonderful, diverse, culture” (add whichever adjective makes you feel fuzzy) that our government is throwing over $16 Billion a month at to “liberate.”

The deaths of these two young women is heinously tragic proof that this is a LOST CAUSE and a WASTE of MONEY. This individual wanted to come here for benefits, PREFERENCE, and to take advantage of the opportunity this country has afforded many…. but didn’t want to be bound by it’s laws (duh, why does this sound like an immigration problem.)

It took America close to 200 years to get to the point where all of US could vote… and we think the Muslim community will change deeply entrenched cultural beliefs that are nearly 2,000 years old just because we’re there????

Why isn’t anyone on the campaign trail talking about this….?
