BREAKING NEWS: OJ Simpson’s Bail Is Revoked!

0_61_simpson_oj_320.jpg

? OJ Simpson’s bail is revoked

? He will be back to jail from Florida

? He’s flying back today from Miami to Las Vegas and arriving early evening

? He’s been taken into custody by Miguel Pereira, bail bondsman of You Ring We Spring Bail Bonds

I got the tip late yesterday and have been holding it, making sure the bail bondsman made it to Miami and that he would actually be taken-in without an incident.

Throughout last night and into today, we have kept this extremely quiet, with only a couple of people internally knowing this might go down. We can’t afford to let any information slip.

I don’t know which is better, the fact that OJ is back in jail, or the name of the bailbond company.

Couldn’t happen to a better person! Congratulations District Attorney David Roger in Las Vegas, NV. He isn’t going to let OJ off the hook like LA did!

Comment by Jeff

good news for a change, maybe justice will be served….

Comment by John

Ric…………when they bend him over to do the cavity search, he may see the killer of Nicole and Ron in the reflection of the nice shiny jailhouse floor.

Comment by Nancy

I love it. Also love the name of bond company……..still laughing over that one!

Comment by Fred Flintrock

OJ says he’s voting DEMOCRAT so he can be in jail with his own kind when this is all over. Hillary and Obama concur.

Comment by Chelle

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!! That just made my day!!!!! Can’t wait to hear why!!!!

Comment by Tim

Now he can do a re-make of the “Longest Yard” while he waits around for another miscarriage of justice. At least he can’t joy ride around in his white Bronco

Comment by Kristine

I missed something. I thought his bail was from vegas. What does he have going on in LA. Why is he going to LA vs Vegas?

Comment by Kathie in Atlanta

Way to go! What a scoop! No one has this…even now!

Comment by Change For America

You know, this is the USA and people are INNOCENT until proven guilty and WAS found innocent of the previous murder trial. It seems to me, we have a bunch of white right wing nuts convicting a black man and stripping him of all rights before anything has happened. Why am I not surprised

Comment by Paul Walker

O.J. continues to get himself in trouble. It will be interesting to see why his bail was revoked. I can’t help but think about the old saying: “What goes around, comes around.” I believe fate is starting to pay dividends for O.J.

Comment by tom

Once again rascism in our country ( i am white, just being honest)

Comment by BILL MARKHAM

Any day O.J. is in jail, is a GOOD DAY.!.. Enjoy your weekend.!

Comment by Lona

From what I have heard he left a phone message to someone, probbly one of the ones that flipped on him. Is he so arrogant or just plain stupid to leave proof when he was told to have no contact? Regardless, he just can’t keep his big mouth shut and I love it. Couldn’t happen to a better guy.

Comment by Kathie in Atlanta

Paul Walker – OJ is another who just can not keep his mouth shut. He was told not to contact anyone associated with this case. My guess…he did!

Comment by TJ

Al Sharpton should be on the scene any second now to cry racism. Its not racist to arrest a known bail jumper like OJ, he did it in ‘95 and he’s doing it now. Criminals never change their stripes.

Comment by Diane

YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Comment by truth teller

A self absorbed killer FINALLY behind bars. Get used to the view OJ. Don’t Acquit – the jail cell fits

Comment by John

Let’s spend half the time that some have been focusing on OJ making our own lives and families better —- sounds like a better use of energy.

Comment by Lew

how much was the bail? they must have heard he was a flight risk..
if so no bail..

if not maybe Obama or Oprah will get him out..gotta help a brotha

JTW commented that OJ is “victim of racism by the white estabishment. I trust Al and Jesse will soon be on the scene to make sure everyone knows what an injustice this is.”

HAHAHAHA!!! What a moron!!!!

OJ is about to meet Justice…

Comment from Tom

>>Once again rascism in our country ( i am white, just being honest)<<

OMG…there’s always one in a crowd. the only racism that’s occurred with OJ was that jury who couldn’t see past their own racial hatred to convict an obvious killer.

Comment by TJ

As much as everyone agrees OJ is a slimeball that should go to hell, if there is one, he still deserves a fair trial like anyone else. The prosecutor should be unbiased and worry about this trial, not the Nicole trial cause that’s over. If the prosecutor convicts OJ without overwhelming evidence, OJ could win on appeal. I hope they have an air-tight case.

Comment by Alton Hargrave

Very good of you, Adam. For keeping quiet until OJ was picked up. This killer has been making fun of society for too long. I hope they keep him locked up now.

Comment by Henry D

Very good news. O.J. is a criminal and should be locked for years. He is dangerous guy and does not value human beings.

Henry

Comment by Karen T

Anyone what the conditions of the bail was? The judges orders?

If I remember correctly one of the orders was that O.J. was not allowed to contact witnesses.

Anyone have a link to that?

Comment by Derek

sweet, some good news, finally

Adam on another note, what the hell is wrong with parents these days, I have noticed so many bad bad thing happening to children lately. a women kills her four kids and lets them rot in her apartment for at least 2 weeks (probably longer) a man kills his 2 year old step son for not saying sir to him, a man throws his four kids off a bridge, now I am seeing that a man is charged with killing his four month old daughter because she wasn’t boy!!!! WTF is going on? It just seems that people are losing their minds.

I hate violence in all of its forms, but this makes my blood boil to see such disregard for our most precious citizens (enough to make me want to do violence to the evil people hurting these children). Anybody else seeing this violent trend, it makes my heart hurt.

Comment by John

Its sad that everytime a Black person is accused of anything, there are always people who come out and cry racism. Even if a black man is caught on tape commiting a crime, and convicted, there is always someone saying “its because hes black” not “its because hes guilty”

Comment by julie

Racism? He shouldn’t have gotten bail after the bronco incident. It has nothing to do with color when you kill your ex-wife and leave your children with out a mother. Good Bye OJ:)

Comment by TJ

OJ could have had a provision where he had to submit for regular drug testing. OJ is a known user of thizz pills and cocaine, so he could have had his bail revoked for failing a random drug test.

Comment by Mendy

ROFLMAO! When he first got away with murder the shrinks predicted he would eventually confess (the book) and never stay out of trouble. I lived in Las Vegas for almost two decades. Unlike Los Angeles, the system in ‘Vegas knows how to handle “wise-guys”. Dopes like Simpson are a dime-a-dozen in sin-city.

Comment by Karen T

Adam… Thank you for getting the bloggers this story so quickly! I’m impressed of your loyalty to this blog and thankful that we can get information so quickly.

Many of us are at work and can’t see your live report. Do you have a video you can post for us please?

Comment by MW - OH

When the bondman found him was he out searching for the real killer of Nicole and Ron??

Comment by TJ

John, I said the same thing, only in more blunt terms and my comment got deleted. Oh well…. still hope they put OJ under the jail, so we can move on to Britney (Kurt Cobain) Spear’s trials and tribulations. Isn’t OJ the only known killer walking free w/o punishment? Can’t think of anyone else.

Comment by Caroline

WHOOOO HOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

JTW:
OJ got his “race” break in the murder trial and the last five charges he skirted, when will race be left out of this man’s lawbreaking. The man has had every break that life has to offer, how is race an issue here…oh please spare us this round.

Comment by Moo Hah Mudd

Stick him in a cell and feed him bananas.

Comment by Karen T

Ok so it was the bailbonds place that revoked?? What reason or authority could have to do that? The only one I can think of was the possibility of a flight risk?

THIS IS THE PRISON.
BUT WHERE IS MICHAEL VICK?
HE’S OVER IN THE CORNER
SUCKING OJ’S DICK

Comment by Pat

Notice how these reporters “held” the story and kept quiet. They wouldn’t do that id it involved national security and the lives of our great soldiers, then these media slime would tip off the enemy.

Comment by Karen T

Derek… it’s the breakdown of society’s core values. I don;t know if decades ago this stuff was happening and we just didn’t have the media reporting it or if it’s just the course we have taken and it really is happening more and more.

Comment by Scott Robbins

Looks like Ron Brown’s and Nicole Simpson’s ‘real killers’ are safe for a while longer. What with OJ being forced to terminate his diligent hunt for them on every golf course in Florida while he reports to jail.

Comment by Christopher

Come On! This case is bogus and the only reason it’s there is because of O.J.
The jury said not guilty. Why can’t people accept the jury’s verdict? This case is pure harassment. Anyone else would have been able to plea to a misdemeanor and the thing woud pass int history.

Leave O.J alone and let him live out his life. Let God do the judging and not people who did not see one minute of the trial. They are entitled to their opinion, but not their own facts.

What junk

Comment by Farking Farker`

That’s some fine police work there, Lou.

Comment by Lawman turned Zookeeper

Put that monkey in the zoo where he belongs.

Comment by TJ

Damn, OJ’s got a big ass head! When he’s in jail he can use it to hit it against the wall and save Las Vegas taxpayers some money.

One thing about the Nicole trial that I liked is that the prosecutors called him Orenthal because they didn’t want to feed into his celebrity status by calling him OJ. Maybe the Las Vegas guys can do that too

Comment by TJ

Wow I talk about the kingpin GWB and I’m deleted. Lawman (who probably is a cop) talks about monkeys being in zoo, a obviously racist statement. Lets see if that’s deleted.

Pat,

You do have a point there. I agree!

Comment by John

The racial comments that some of these idiots are throwing out on the blog are just feeding the frenzy for those claiming OJ’s a victim of racism. Why is it that a black man cannot be arrested for breaking the law without bringing race into it? If he violated the terms of his bail, then it doesn’t matter if the man is black, white, red, purple or green!

Comment by chris

“OMG…there’s always one in a crowd. the only racism that’s occurred with OJ was that jury who couldn’t see past their own racial hatred to convict an obvious killer.”

er, truth teller… don’t you think they’d have convicted him if they had an ounce of racial hatred in them??? and how come nobody’s turned that racist pig Sharpton into a… “martyr”?

Comment by Cephas

Folks, racism has nothing to do with it. OJ is an ego maniac (like a great many other so called sports heros). He can’t stand not to be in the news, even it is associated with murder.

OJ was acquited of the state & federal charges in that farce of a trial, but he was found guilty in civil court. Guess what, the level of punishment doesn’t matter, what matters is that he was found to be responsible for the wrongful deaths of Ron and Nichole – so in the eyes of the law, that makes him G U I L T Y folks.

So whether you are pro or con OJ, you need to understand one thing. Every time he looks at a camera lens he’s laughing, laughing at you America, becuase from his perspective, he got away with murder.

Hopefully now he’s beginning to get his due..

Comment by John

TJ, is response to WHY your post got deleted, perhaps its due to the fact that it wasn’t relevant to OJ’s bail being revoked. The little grey box says “comments should be relevant to the post and respectful of other authors and commenters.”

Comment by TJ

Moo Hah Mudd, 97% of your genes are the same as a chimpanzee. Think about that next time you get a strawberry banana smoothie.

Lew, it’s not Obama’s fault that Oprah loves some Barack. I didn’t see Ellen or Katie Couric supporting him. I’m sure Obama wouldn’t have refused it. Maybe their connections are due to the fact that they are both from Chicago, not because they are both black. Food for thought.

Comment by Karen T

Julie… you’re right…. he is a flight risk. Bail shouldn’t have been awarded based on that alone.

Comment by TJ

I was in college. I got tired of the trial after 6 months, but still wanted to hear the verdict so I had a small radio in class and listened to it on there. I think I already explained that I think he’s a criminal so don’t go there.

YOU SHOULD NOT BE HOLDING BACK THE NEWS!
YOU ARE NOW A TOOL OF THE GOVERNMENT!

YOU ARE AN ORGAN OF A POLICE STATE NOW!

Comment by Moo Hah Mudd

My banana comment was not racial. It had to do with OJ picking simulating a knife by using a banana (I believe it happened prior to some interview with a reporter). I forgot the details of the story.

Comment by Karen T

Christopher… he was found guilty in the civil trial. You have somebody out in society capable of killing multiple people out of pure rage… come on! He’s a time bomb waiting to explode. O.J.’s not out there just living his life playing golf… he’s committed offenses since that trial and very capable of being involved in dangerous situations.

I think Barrack Obama’s win in Iowa is a perfect example of American’s understanding of the race issue and how it doesn’t apply anymore.

People posted in Greta’s blog asking for his brothers and sisters to unite and rise up to vote for Obama and how it’s time for whitey to pay the piper for the slaves. It’s messages like these that incite racism and fear.

People invoke the word “race” in OJ’s case to bully people into either giving him a break or ignoring his past criminal behavior, including murder. He was a sports hero, a movie star and a very talented man but he has a huge ego and Nicole Simpson was murdered because of it. It was domestic violence at it’s worst, not racism. He doesn’t know when to be thankful for the lucky break that the murder trial jurors gave him and so shut up, stop, go away OJ. We’ve had it.

Comment by C.C.

OK…for all the people out there whining because they say OJ was found innocent in the original criminal trial. OK you’re right. But the only reason that was the case is because the LAPD majorly f***ked up the investgation and evidence. On another note do any of you idiots recall that OJ was found GUILTY in a civil lawsuit and was named as being responsible for the deaths of Ron and Nicole. That’s GUILTY guys. And he was ordered to pay a judgement to the families. Which I might add he has never done. That should be the second in a long list of crimes this LOSER has committed. Truthfully I feel sorry for his children and for the families of Ron and Nicole.

And just as a side note…I am so freaking tired of hearing race, race, race, race, race. Can’t we just move past this. I mean we live in America and have the first real Black contender for president and the first real Woman contender for president. Can’t we all just get along?!?!?

That’s okay TJ. I have enjoyed your posts. I can tell you are educated and cultured. I do appreciate your concern over racial comments. I never thought mine could be considered that. I just remembered the incident where OJ picked up a banana and used it as a knife in a stabbing motion. That’s the basis for my comment. I never meant it to have any racial undertones. BTW, I don’t smoke hash…well…what I mean is…I don’t inhale. :-)

Comment by T-town Pete

Oh happy day, race has nothing to do with it. Orenthal abandoned the African American Community long ago, he lived in Brentwood, married and later killed a white woman, he was no more African American than Bill Clinton. Hope he enjoys the view in his 7 X 12!!!!

Thanks Moo Hah, the fact that you used a obscure event for your post shows you pay attention to news and you have a quirky and excellent sense of humor. It’s almost Onion quality!

Comment by C.C.

Also wanted to add this because of all the Obama comments as well as the race comments. Obama is half white as well as Halle Berry and Tiger Woods is half asian. I really wish these people would stop claiming that they are black and start claiming that they are biracial. There is nothing wrong with it. I think it makes you more beautiful and more interesting. It’s like completely denying one of their parents and that is just wrong!

And when can we drop African American as the new definition of Black. I have a friend who is African and just got naturalized as an American citizen…but guess what his skin is white! Does that make him less African American that black people. On the contrary the black people in this country are AMERICANS. Most of them have not and will not ever go to Africa there families have been here for generations. Get over it you are Black Americans. Be proud of it! Save the African American title for people who immigrated here from Africa!

Comment by CM Davis

Just for the record, OJ was never found innocent in the criminal murder trial. He was found Not Guilty. This does not mean innocent! An acquittal in a criminal trial is a judgement that the defendant has not been proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. While an acquittal means the defendant cannot be tried for the crime again in a criminal proceeding, it does not prevent a civil action. It also does not prevent people from forming their own opinions on the person’s guilt or innocence based on their knowledge of the case. Since OJ’s trial was televised, knowledge of the case is nationwide. Jury nullification may have prevented OJ’s conviction in court of law but it can’t prevent people who saw the trial on television from forming their own opinion based on the evidence they saw.
It’s a twist of irony that so many people scream racism in defense of OJ. It’s obvious that jury nullification ruled the day in the OJ trial. The jury ignored the evidence and the court’s instruction. Instead, they allowed their prejudices toward the system, the police and OJ to be the deciding factor in his guilt or innocence. This is exactly what used to happen in the South when all white juries would acquit a white defendant of criminal charges in a case where the victim was black. It’s something that many states in the South have had a difficult time overcoming. It’s wrong when it happens regardless of the defendant’s race.

CC said “Obama is half white as well as Halle Berry and Tiger Woods is half asian. I really wish these people would stop claiming that they are black and start claiming that they are biracial.”

I belive an individual has the right to call themselves what they choose. In the not so distant past, if a baby was born with a small spot of black blood he was considered black, with no acknowlegement of other heritage. Racism at its finest in the USA. If given the choice, it would be interesting to see how many white people would change their skin color to black for a lifetime. Clearly, the perspective would be entirely different, and many of these harsh comments would be a little more merciful.

It is criminal to think of the number of innocent people who were unjustly sentenced to prison for crimes they did not commit. As long as crooked racist people have positions of power, justice will never prevail.

With regard to innocent and guilty. Many a black person suffered murder, rape and untold injustices at the hands of racist white people. Many of whom lived on to ripe old age with the support of their enviornment and without being hounded in the courtroom of public opinion. OJ was found “Not Guilty” in the Nicole Simpson/Ron Goldman case. A man is still innocent until PROVEN guilty.

William,

Do you seriosly think racism is a “black only” owned experience? It’s not, all races experience racism, including white people. There are as many black people that are racist against whites.

I bet you didn’t know that the only slaves that are in existance today are in Africa. African tribes have black slaves even today. My daughters school friend is from Africa and she is an African and is a white girl. Her family told us about how there are still slaves in their country.

AND….if you are so innocent of be racist against any race. then throw the first stone, otherwise teach your lessons to the black community who still uses oppressive names for each other like the “N” word. That is a bad word in my world, why isn’t it in yours? Blacks oppress themselves by reminding themselves and others 24/7 about slaves, if it were not constantly being shoved down our throats, maybe people will forget what racism is and keep it where it belongs…in the past.

OJ is “black” when it is convienent for him.

Carolline. Name me one white person that has been “lynched” by a white mob and been convicted in a court of law. Name me one white town that has been torched to the ground, women raped, men lynched. Name me one law that has said that white persons have to sit on the back of a bus, drink from different water fountains, attend “seperate but equal water fountains. etc. etc. Let me remind you that these were sanctioned by the good ol USA

It’s so funny to read some of these comments about race or racism here. White folks out there you’ll speak of how racism is used to defend OJ when he was acquitted for killing his wife and that nice young man, Mr. Goldman. How soon we forget that it was racism that led to OJ “getting off’ in the first place, not only did the LAPD **ck up their investigation of a highly publicized murder case. What white folks fail to see is the moment the LA District Attorneys allow that racism pig Mark Fuhrman on the stand to testify on his finding at the crime scene. That got the ball started on OJ being “let off.” I remember plain as day when the two DAs Marcia Cross and Chris Darden asked Furhamn had he ever used any racial disparaging terms against blacks and his response was no. Well when OJ’s dream team of lawyers challenge his credibility and found out he lied on the stand, that was the moment I knew OJ was going to walk. What white folks FAIL to grasp time and time again, is the fact that since the end of slavery white law enforcement officials have been putting blacks in jail for trump up charges or even killing them. Their are boat loads of cases where this has happened. The most famous is the jailing of the Scottsborough boys. White folks pretend the racism in America is something that existed 20 years ago. I got news for you it’s alive and well in America even as I write this blog. Hell just last week a black man was released after he spent 26 years in prison for a rape he DID NOT commit. I don’t hear any one of you’ll screaming for JUSTICE. Since DNA has been used to determine the guilt or innocence of convicted felons the overwhelming majority of those released from prison have been men of dark skin. That alone should speak volumes for American justice system. Once again I ask where is the out cry? Let me get back to my point. Racism blew the case open to allow OJ to walk, a very convenient fact whites often leave out. White people even after all this time you refuse to let it go. Let me ask you’ll this; if Nicole Brown Simpson was a black woman and Mr. Goldman a black man would so much hell be raised? Would there be so much contempt for OJ? I think not!!! Most of what America saw was that a black man killed pretty white woman and a nice young white man. Blacks get killed every day, where are all of you’ll who talk about justice? Where is the outcry when Rodney King got the hell beat out of him by the LAPD, where was the cry for justice for every black man that died at the hands of police during a routine traffic stop? where was the cry for justice when an unarmed African immigrant was shot 41 times by the NYPD for merely reaching for his wallet? where was the cry for justice when an black man was sodomized with a police baton stick while in custody of the NYPD? If you’ll we’re truly about justice you would cry aloud whenever anyone was hurt or killed. Or is it only when a white person dies at the hands of a black person there is a cry for JUSTICE? Last time I heard JUSTICE was supposed to be blind.

Let me clue you’ll in on something else most white folks FAIL to realize. I remember all those black people who were outside the courtroom in the streets with their pro OJ signs and stuff and how they cheered when the jury acquitted OJ. Have white folks really asked themselves why they cheered? Well I’m a black man and let me clue you’ll in on something. Many blacks too felt that OJ was guilty but they didn’t cheer for OJ they instead cheered against a justice system that has since the end of slavery treated blacks less then fairly and that is putting it mildly. So my point is this don’t think for a minute that race or racism has no bearing because you are just fooling yourself. Race plays a role in almost everything that is American trust me I know. If anyone out there doubts me all I ask is that you walk in my shoes for 6 months and I’ll bet you’ll see an American you never imagined. I’m not an angry blackman just one who is tired of the hypocrisy I read daily.

_____________________________________________________________________

This is my point, what do you think you are going to accomplish by your statement. White America doesn’t want to forget the wrongs done to Black Americans, they want to put it where it belongs, it’s as much a black eye (excuse the word usage) on American history as the Civil War.

It’s been hard to realize that our forefathers actually had slaves and beat them, raped them and killed them, I cannot fathom it myself and I find it hard to read about, just like reading how the Jews were done the same way in Germany. It also happened in Europe before the reformation period, as America’s history is still quite young, unlike Europes history.

It’s a disgusting historical fact but we have to get past it. Did you know that black men were able to vote about 50 years before women were? If we can put it in the past where it belongs, then maybe the children of tomorrow will not know the meaning of racism. When people are constantly reminded of it, of coarse you are going to have some numb nuts throw it in your face because you just gave him the ammunition to do that. If you just shut up about it, hopefully these numb nuts will completely forget what slavery and racism means and treat all people the same.

Do you understand my point? I do not know of any of the things you speak of except the Jews in Germany. My children didn’t know what the “N” word was until they started listening to rap music. I banned the music from our home because of it.

William/ – Please crawl back onto the Troll bus you came off of, and move along. What you have to say has no value in today’s world. You can take a wider view and acknowledge that racism comes in many colors. But people (I’m being positive here) like you help sustain it. Grow up, gain some self confidence, and stop using a crutch for all the negative times you are dredging up.

My experience? Getting the daily beat-down for being bussed to a “black” school. I was number seven white kid in a poor neighborhood school that had approximately 600 Black, and 100 Hispanics.

Did I hold a grudge? No. Do I need to take ownership for some possible ancestor’s faults? I don’t think so. Do I cry about all the beat-downs I received by the kids I was forced to go to school with? No.

Does racism exist today? Yes. Does slavery exist today? Yes. Do bad things happen to good people? yes.

It’s what you do with what you learn that means something. If all you do is whine… well I guess that makes you a whiner.

You are right and that is what brought on Watts and the Rodney King verdict mess. It was racism in the police dapartment that existed at LAPD.

As far as Fuhrman, he was a braggert and had and still has an ego as big as California. He certainly didn’t help racial tensions and instead fueled it. I looked at it as him trying to be a tough guy and show off to a playwrite woman that he was dating at the time. His poor use of words hung him though and still haunts him to this day. He was forced into retirement, lost his self respect and the respect of all who thought he was a hero in that case. I say the higher the pedistool, the farther the fall. Fuhrman is just a man and certainly not perfect. I bet he would give his right arm to start that part of his life over again and do it differently.

I don’t know if I respect him or not, I do wish though, he could solve a murder case without a camera in his face. I do like the guy, I just think he is full of himself. I haven’t heard of any volunteer work that he has done, or what charity he donates to.

I suspect he has more skeletons in his closet than any of us are aware. I just wish he would just get out of television and get a real job and maybe more people will forget his indiscretions. He doesn’t owe me anything and he has apologized for his racist remarks, but he really should get out of the public eye. Do the detective thing without the cameras, that will earn my respect and possibly the respect of the black community.

I’m glad to see O.J. Simpson go back to jail. I believe this is where he belongs. He tries to be something he used to be, and he isn’t . I have a problem even saying OJ when I want juice any more. I have to say orange juice. Perhaps he will realize that to break the law means to pay for your error.

Comment by Everett

Special treatment?
Did you see when he was entering the building? When most people that are arrested are transported they are placed in cuffs in front of them with a tamperproof black box. Instead O. J. is provided with 2 sets of cuffs which is used for oversized people that can’t get their hands behind their back close enough for one set of cuffs.

That’s some great police work there, Lou. Guess there’s no point in saying WHY his bail was revoked. Really, why bother with trivialities like facts when you have sensationalism and an ignorant public waiting for their next Britney fix.

For those black folks here claiming racism. Just for a moment imagine how you would feel if O.J. were white and Nicole and Ron were blacks. I’m sure you would have felt the exact opposite— that it was racism that set the white O.J. free back in 95′ and that justice is finally served now that the white O.J. is back in jail. Most blacks will be cheering on the news. The day you black folks in America learned how to separate feelings from logic and rational thinking is the day when you have truly overcome and become an equal partner in our society. A lot of other minority groups have already achieved that. It’s time for you to catch up.

Dear Jack

You are just one of those white folks who again simply refuse to acknowledge that racism in America still exist. Boy I wish I could have hook you up with a make up artist and make you a black man for one day. I will get over racism when first you white folks get over O.J. second when pregnant black women stop getting pulled over by the cops and ordered to lay on her stomach for merely driving a car the looked like one that was used in a crime. When a white women who was driving a similar vehicle was pulled over she wasn’t treated that way. How about when a 91 year old black women was in her home in Atlanta had cops bust down her door and shot her to death because a snitch gave them the wrong address. Jack tell me please how many elderly white women die at the hands of police? How about the story where a deaf black man exited his shower in his home only to find cops pointing guns at him and shouting at him, now this man is deaf mind you he can’t hear them so what happens to him he got tasered. The cops didn’t see that the man was only dressed in a towel and advised them he was deaf and couldn’t hear them, but no all they saw was a black man who was not listening to them so they tasered him. I spent 24 years in law enforcement my dear Jack I don’t ever remember being told to use force on unarmed civilians. See Jack you need to come down off your white horse and smell the coffee.

Great news! If anyone ever belonged in jail it’s OJ, By the way, people saying OJ’s troubles are racism – come on – that is absolutely deluuuusional. Amazing how some people can be so out of it.

Dear Nittymaster,

Where in my message did I say that racism doesn’t exist in America. As a matter of fact, I believe that it does. Your suggestion of imagining yourself (or others) as person of the other race is a great way to determine if you are thinking rationally in a given matter or are your judgement being paralyed by the memory of historical discriminations. Now just tell me how you would feel about the 95′ case if O.J. were white and Nicole and Ron were blacks. Would you still feel the 95′ jury have exerted justice on the case or would you feel the opposite? Just tell me. And be honest. My point is that letting your judgement constantly impaired by your overwhelming feeling of racism, however justified, will forever keep you and your people victims of racism. Civil rights is a two way thing and it starts with how each individual truly thinks.

Jack Buddy

Get off it jack blacks have been dying at the hands of whites since we all arrived on this continent and it still continues. My views are not skewed at all, I think with an open mind and I see what I see not because I look for it either. Let me clue you in on something. I’m 43 years old I spent 17 years living in Europe. Ten years in Italy, three years in Germany, and 4 years in England while I was in the Air Force. I also spent many months in southwest and southeast Asia. My career field was Law Enforcement and Security. Everywhere I went I had the opportunity to mingle with the locals, especially while I was stationed in Europe. As a black man I can say this while I was serving our country overseas I was treated like a man first seen as an American first not a man of color. The only time I ever experienced any racial issues was from my fellow Americans how sad that was. The Italians, Germans, and Brits treated me far better then my fellow Americans. As soon as I returned back to the US I was quickly reminded the our society sees me as a black man first and an American second. See Jack you still don’t get it. As long as we continue as we are today we will never get past this great American racial divide. It strikes me funny that our government spent millions to build a Holocaust museum when Americans were not involved in the slaughter of 6 million Jews, but as of today 12 January 2008 not a penny is spent to build a museum or memorial for the 100 millions slaves that died over a 400 year period. Slavery is the greatest tragedy in the history of mankind. We (US Gov’t) have apologized the Japanese Americans for putting them in camps during WWII yet no apology has ever been given for slavery and all of its ills. The Whitehouse is the symbol worldwide for Democracy and Freedom, but it is a house built by slaves. I find that ironic. Our memories of racism in America is not what is keeping us forever victims of racism. What keeps us forever in a state of racism is that we are still at times treated like second class citizens. Take hurricane Katrina for example It took 5 days for federal gov’t to act. I spent 24 years in the US Air Force and I am somewhat familiar with our ability to air drop supplies. Jack 5 days, I bet if that was Hollywood CA it would have been 5 hours. Jack did you see the unending volumes of victims and what color they were? Did you hear the news reporters classify all the poor folks as “refugees.” In my 43 years on earth I never heard, not even once can I recall a white American being called a “refugee” while he or she was in the borders of their own country. See Jack you are right Civil rights is a two way thing and when whites (the overall majority) start crying foul when bad things happen to all people not just whites the healing will start.

Nittymaster,

You just don’t get it do you? I don’t dispute what you said about racism and slavery and all that. But what does it have to do with the O.J. Simpson case which IS the subject here? Are you intellectually capable of separating the two? So if you don’t mind, here is a few questions on which I’d like to hear your HONEST opinion:

(1) Do you think justice was served in the verdict of the 95′ O.J Simpson case?
(2) Do you think O.J. Simpson is being treated fairly in the current case?
(3) Would you honestly feel the same way if O.J. were white and Nicole and Ron were blacks?

YES or NO answer will suffice.

Jack

OK Jack let me spell it out for you

This whole OJ thing is about and always was about racism. See Jack white folks still have not got over that OJ was acquitted for those brutal killings. Like I said before if you have read if Nicole Brown Simpson where a black woman who was killed it may of gotten on or two headlines in the news. Instead of seeing that one person killed two people regardless of the color of the victims or killers white America saw a prominent established black man get away with murder. If you choose to read objectively most of the comments here you can see the contempt most folks have for OJ and that contempt derives directly from the OJ case. Let me ask you a question Jack if Nicole Brown Simpson had never been killed and OJ got arrested for what happened in Vegas would there be so much contempt for OJ? I think not, when most white people hear the name Orenthal James Simpson they do think about a man who won the highly coveted Heisman trophy award, they don’t think of the first man in the NFL to rush for over 2000 yds in a single season, or the man who used to be the pitch man for Hertz running through all the airports for their commercials. The only thing most whites see when the hear OJ is that he killed his wife and and nice young white man. So Jack you asked me in your won words “But what does it have to do with the O.J. Simpson case which IS the subject here?” I think I just answered your question with a bit of intelligence. And I will answer the rest of your questions

(1) Justice is never served when a guilty man goes free
(2) I do not think OJ can ever be fairly treated in any case after the acquittal
(3) I would not feel the same way if OJ were white and Nicole were black simply because there would not be the level of contempt from whites. If OJ where white I can 100% be sure we WOULD not be having this discussion. Hundreds of people unfortunately get killed in America every year but no one gets more villified than OJ and that Jack is simply because of who he is and who were the victims. Race has had everything to do with it from day one.

Nittymaster,

I have the same answer as you on (1) and (2). Even though for (2), I think O.J. deserves to be treated by-the-book not because he got away the first time because of racism. I will feel the exact same way if I know for sure a white man got away for lynching a black man in the past. I’ll take advantage of every opportunity to dump the book on him and get him the maximum sentence for whatever I can convict him with. Your answer to (3) is where the problem lies. As civilized human beings, we NEED to feel the same way whenever a man murdered his wife and another person by slashing their throats so deep that the victims were practically decapitated. Black or white, think about the fear and pain the victims suffered when O.J.’s knife ran through their jugulars. To say that there are some macro-factors by which you will only feel for the victims if they were blacks put you on the same mindset as those KKKs who brutally murdered black folks. Their arguments have always been that blacks were less of a human being and that we don’t need to feel for them like we feel for whites. You just can’t overcome racism until you recognize there are values in our society we need to uphold despite of racism. To short change those values in the name of race is what make a person racist in the first place. On the top of the list is the equal right to life for Nicole and Ron as well as all the black murder victims.

Comment by Nittymaster

You’re third question was not clear at all Jack I answered the question as it applies to the state of our society today. Were you asking me if I would change the way I feel about OJ if the racial roles where reversed? I think I answered correctly because I always thought he was guilty. You asked what does race have to do with the case and I still say everything. Please don’t ever compare my way of thinking to that of the KKK that in itself I find offensive and insulting. If only the rest of society would “As civilized human beings, we NEED to feel the same way whenever a man murdered his wife and another person.” The point is Jack we are not there yet not even close. These discussion remind me the distance will still need to go to achieve racial harmony in this country.

Comment by Jack

I never said “we are there” in terms of equality. As a matter of fact, I know for sure we are not. I got the good fortune to live and work in the more privileged segment of our society and in my world one has to be blind to not notice the disproportionately low representation of blacks. That is the reality for blacks in America (and in the world?) and everyone knows it even though some of us dislike talking about it in the name of political correctness. So now the question is what to do about it. In my opinion, for non-blacks, their top responisbility is to teach their next generation to not think in terms of those prejudicial terms and try to treat everyone as equals. It is a difficult and generational and thus a slow process but I honestly think we are making good progress. But that’s not enough. The blacks have responsibility on this too. And I think the very top one for blacks is to stop letting people like O.J. Simpson, Micheal Jackson, and Al Sharpton use race as an excuse to manipulate them in order to gain their undeserved support. These people don’t really care about blacks except when they are in trouble or when there is something to gain. People like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson will be out of business if there are not enough racism in our society. It is therefore in their interest to take every opportunity to incite the black race, telling them everything is about racism whether it is justifiable or not, in order to keep themselves in the lime light. Most of these so-called civil right leaders you see on TV these days are no MLK. They are more like the black equivalence of David Duke. The only losers in all these are the blacks. Those whites who, with good intention, pointed this out to the blacks are quickly labeled as racists or as someone who turned a blind eye to racism (sounds familiar?). Then there are those whites who DO want to keep the blacks in their place; they are the ones who either say nothing or just folow the party line or just nod their heads and agree with the blacks whenever they need your vote or just want you to keep away. Trust me. I know. There are an plenty of them in my personal and professional circle. At the end of the day, the blacks have to decide for themselves whether supporting criminals like O.J. and Michael Jackson or agitators like Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson have ever done the black race any good. Are you better off 10-20 years ago than you are now with this kind of race-explai-all attitude? If not, may be it is time for a new strategy. Just to let you know though, people like me our lives are still going to be pretty good whether yours improve or not.

Enough of this racist stuff, OJ was guilty of that murder and all of you blacks know it. I am tired of whites being call racists just cause they think someone is guilty and they are black, well guess what 90% of criminals are black, and a prosecuting attorney most likely will not bring chages unless they have a case, so most likely OJ is guilty of this. Next time a black person says some one is racist because they make a comment on a person rather then a race I am going to call them the n*** word so they will atleast really know that I am racist.
