Will I Get Thrown Out of Venezuela?
by Adam Housley
We were supposed to be in Trinidad for a story, but the airline from Caracas suddenly went on strike – funny how that happens when employees hadn’t been paid in weeks!
Also, the Chavista TV stations and newspapers called for me to be thrown out of Venezuela for “lying” about our drug story. I will write full updates on everything as soon as we are at our next stop tonight.
The TV stations controlled by Chavez even showed video of our my blog on Foxnews.com. So I’ve got that going for me and some new readers!
To Kathy in Texas…
Trust me, the U.S. Embassy can get Americans killed as well. Just ask the families of Charles Horman and Frank Terrugi in Chile in 1973.
In 1973, both of these men, (along with 3,000 other Chileans) were executed in the Chilean National Stadium. the two Americans were killed because they discovered that there was American involvment and planning of the coup that brought down democraticly elected Salvador Allende.
Since both of these two individuals were journalists. Both were left leaners, so that sealed their fate. Of course, americans do not kill other Americans, nor do they torture. However, Americans will give them over to other countries to do their dirty work for them. That is how they get away with it.
No one from the US Embassy in Chile was EVER held to account for their participation in the murders of these two fellow Americans.
For shame….and now only get reports about how some president chews coco paste of something?

What is Adam doing in the jungle? Do Not taunt the danerous animals and make sure Nora and Eric do Not taunt the dangerous animals!
Glad you are safe Adam. The US Embassy can be a life saver to an American. We need to keep all the workers in our prayers, it is a tough job to live in a country that does not want you there.
Glad I did not have to call Charlie Daniels!
Hi everybody!!
I am a venezuelan student, and I would like to say thanks to Fox News and specially thanks to Adam Housley and his crew for all coverage about Venezuela’s news. Good work guys!! I have been watching you since May, 2007 when you were covering both student’s and chavista’s rallies!!!
If there is anything I can do for you…let me know!
It is good to know there are many people working hard to tell the world the truth about Venezuela and this “Bolivarian Revolution”.
Susan: Your spanish is excellent!
Greetings from Venezuela!!
Max… yep!
Avi … YES
Hugo taps ALL Phone calls (are beign recorded, not necessarily listened) and only tracks open email without encription that runs on Vzla network.
I´m venezuelan. The Chavez´s government supports terrorist organizations openly, like FARC and ELN in Colombia. These groups survive mainly because of protection to cocaine producers and Chavez´s governments offers them a corridor to the US and Europe thru our country. There are enough clues to that. FARC and ELN have safe havens in Venezuela and drug money is starting to flow thru the veins of one particularlly corrupt regime. The threats against you, Mr Housley are not rare in their permanent attack to free press. But venezuelans have almost 50 years of countinuos democracy and have resisted the worst years of this autocratic and undemocratic would-be comunist regime that is been loosing popularity by the day. Please go tho the Gobovision TV network and talk to venezuelans, we´ll support you.
Karen T : seems your bet was right!
Message for Hugo, from Charlie Daniels:
“From the Sound up in Long Island out to San
Francisco Bay, and ev’ry thing that’s in between
them is our home. And we may have done a little
bit of fighting amongst ourselves, but you outside
people best leave us alone. Cause we’ll all stick
together and you can take that to the bank.
That’s the cowboys and the hippies and the rebels
and the yanks. You just go and lay your hand on a
Pittsburgh Steeler fan and I think you’re gonna
finally understand.”
Well, guess I got my last post skunked because of using a bad word to describe Chavez. Anyway, here’s my message to Chavez:
Lay your hands on any of our reporters, and this country will come alive against you Hugo. We aren’t all Cyndi Sheehan or Harry Belafonte. In fact, nearly everyone I know reviles these people for giving you any audience whatsoever.
I do my part ( ban CITGO). We’re not buying it Hugo.
Adam,
cant hugo tap ur phone calls, and track your emails ?
Define “Irony”.
Irony: Being anti abortion…the only medical procedure known to prevent liberalism from spreading.
Or not…there isn’t one yet
I’m going to hang out here for another 45 minutes, then hit the sack. -Rod-
Heya Adam,
I just came in from the front room, been watching the tube for a few hours. I’m glad you popped up finally. I’m sure many of us were wondering what was going on, whether there’d been any trouble. I’m going to go check that other thread. Glad everything is ok! -Rod-
I wonder what Adam will do first… make a new thread or do replies.
10 bucks says he’ll fall asleep and do neither.
Sounds like Adam has a juicy story to tell us.
BAH AHAHAHAHA…Susan you crack me up, I can’t breathe!
wow! Thank you NY office for not forgetting about us!
Oh, and Adam, you’re not allowed to leave the country anymore and be without an internet connection. We can’t handle the suspense and you weren’t doing any live reports. We entertained the Venezuelan bloggers for you. A great bunch of people. They are all commending you for your reporting. We learned a lot about what’s going on in Venezuela in your absence today.
Ok, I’m done venting.
Adam—
You bet I would have been the most dangerous one– I would have brought Daniel and Alfredo with me— and Karen T– She would have argued with them until there would have been nothing but putting you all first class out of the country–
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Daniel–
I left you a good nite note on the other thread– and thank you for helping me learn more about Venezuela–
buenas noches—
everyone– Adam is safe– he left a message on the Cartel thread–
Adam is on the other thread
Adam dear–
In answer to your question- Am I being thrown out? NOPE- EXPULSION–
If you get in here and are too tired to read all- here is one I don’t want you to miss-

Hi Mr. Housley
I’m a journalist in Caracas Venezuela, I’d like an interview with you if it’s possible. I left my email address in the form.

Did Eva ever write a follow-up report saying what the Columbian drug cartels were doing in Venezuela if they were not there not trafficking drugs? Does she really think that we are all stupid? I don’t see any other purpose than to do trafficking. Chavez is not going to allow trafficking to go on without getting a kickback. Did Eva receive a kickback too?

NITE- this is fun- translating– it is part of my life too out here– xxxx
Juan… that’s what the east is trying to do to us… the terrorists want to convert us all to Islam and if we don’t comply they want to kill us all.
I wish Spain didn’t wimp out on us when they had their 3/11. Immediately after the bombs went off over there, Spain pulled out of Iraq and said they were about to do it anyway. They gave into the Al Queada.

Here is the whole article—
Eva Gollinger asks for expulsion of reporter from Fox News
January 18, 2008
Eva Gollinger solicited Thursday night in La Hojilla the expulsion from the country the reporter Adam Housley, from FoxNews, for his coverage on Venezuela “full of lies and falsehoods.” The reporter is actually to found in this country.
The coverage assures that Venezuela “is a great speedway” from what was passed last year 300 tons of cocaine coming from Colombia to the United States and Europe. This amount represents one third of all the cocaine which is sold in the world.
Eva reminded that the president Chavez emitted a decree that specified any reporter who comes to Venezuela to tell lies will be declared- persona non grata- and expelled from the country. She solicited applying this decree to the reporter from Fox News-
And what does the coverage say? That two reasons exist to justify the great amount of traffic going through Venezuela. The first is that the DEA has stopped operating in this country, accused by the government of Chavez as spying for the americans. And the second suggests that the national government is selling to the drug traffickers, permitting the free circulation of cocaine from Venezuela in exchange of money. Arguing the coverage that the national government cannot extract more oil, and to obtain more money, because the machinery is obsolete for exploration and production.
vols called the chavistas chikens!!! good one! hahahahaha
Eva Gollinger pide expulsar a periodista de FoxNews
18 de enero de 2008
Noticiero Digital

It is very good
Signing off for tonight. Full day tomorrow, so won’t see you until the evening.
Karen T – looking forward to hearing about the Caucus.
Susan – keep some sleep – give your fingers a rest
Rod – what time is breakfast?
To all my new friends in and from Venezuela – we are with you…keep us up to date
and to all i missed – have a good evening – night and see you tomorrow.
Adam, anxiously awaiting your next report / update on the flight from Venezuela.
Karen2-
PDVSA got oil drills from China and have blown some of them on miss use, it is say because they didn’t understand the instruction on Chinese, but that maybe a joke.
The Major problem with the oil industry is the incompetence and the corruption that has come after Chavez fire 17000 worker after the 2002 strike
Adam did say that but I don’t think it was a joke.
Adam? -Rod-
I might as well do the whole damn article–
Here it is– in full!!!!!
Eva Gollinger solicited thursday night in La Hojilla the expulsion from the country reported Adam Housley, of FOXNEWS, for his coverage on Venezuela “full of lies and falsehoods” The reporter is actually to be found in this country.

K2
Sure she will, and probably is the DEA who actually placed the drugs to blame Chavez. Or the CIA or the FBI or any other american organization
Rod, and didn’t Adam say Chavez is getting replacement parts from China and they don’t work or was that a joke?
Chavez shot Venezuela in the foot when he nationalized the oil industry. He didn’t really think the US would keep sending in equipment did he? -Rod-
Juan,
nice find.
but, eva will probably say it was a mistake. the plane did not originate in Venezuela….
Hi people out there!
I am a Venezuelan and I would like to give my opinion about Adam’s job in Venezuela.
I think he is doing a really good job because he is showing what Chavez’s government hides. A person who supports drug’s smuggling and terrorist organizations like FARC.
What Chavez makes doen’t represent the point of view of all Venezuelan people, and some of us want to stop this nightmare soon.
My words for Adam: Keep going, man!
Thank you
KT– I started from what I thought was relevant– but I will be more than happy to translate the first paragraph– but here…

KT,
Right now the feeders are “slow”, only about 6 cups of sugar water/day. Well, it’s 5 pounds every 10 days, so that’s a good perspective. The Summer months is really crazy, about 10 pounds per week. I love the little guys. -Rod-

According to Eva, the report is completely wrong.
A small token of truth: Yesterday, a venezuelan ariplane landed on Fort Lauderdale PACKED with 150 Kilos of Cocaine, from where??? Let EVA answer the Question….

Hey there Susan! How goes it? Emails are in your inbox… -Rod-
hey man.. keep it up continue showing what a trash chavez is.. I am from maracaibo venezuela and I live in the USA – if you need some medical assistance let’s find a way..but I will be happy to to tell you more about that country.. my family still there and they will be happy to help you… those chavistas better dont touch you… by the way they all are a bunch of chickens…
GOD BLESS YOU
Susan, you’re not getting a raise this year.
No I translated the right one– ok here is the bottom half to what I just translated– and then I will put it together as one piece-
Rod,
love the visual i got with the lady and the birds……
still smiling
Dear eva… I don’t want to get the information that Adam is reporting on from a Diplomat. I want to get it from a person that I can trust, somebody not in a government position. You’re on the wrong side Eva, Chavez will ultimately fail and you will be a bigger fool than you are now.
I translated the wrong one– let me check the other one out
Don’t look anymore for the translation girls– I just did it– the best part–
if you need me, I am going back to the Cartel to see if Daniel is there– he is giving me the heads up with what is going on with Peru and Venezuela– I am trying to put a map together to see who Chavez has or is trying to control and or manipulate–
Karen(s) …
The post is basically 75% insults to Eva and 25% to Chavez hahaha worthless to translate except the original post/news…. and Karen T already translated
K2,
I thought the food talk was just fine. It’s a shame some got bent about it. Shrug. I’m thinking it’s time for biscuits and gravy again. Maybe tomorrow I’ll get some Jimmy Dean
I’m…doing ok. Some lady knocked on my door a couple hours ago asking about the hummingbird feeders and the food I feed them, meanwhile she’s freaking out that just 2 feet from her head a dozen or so birds are buzzing around while we stand there and talk. Stuff like that makes my day.
KT,
I knew that name sounded familiar…CafePress. I looked into it a couple of years ago but didn’t think I had any good ideas so shelved it. While *I* like my obnoxious sense of humor, I think it falls flat for a lot of people. Ah well. I hope you do well with it.
My cordless mouse is trying to get my attention…I guess I better charge the batteries up. I’ll be back. -Rod-
KT–
That link has been on the other thread since this morning– several times- people from Venezuela telling Adam to get the hell out of there– but to paraphrase– Eva is whining about Adam’s coverage– denouncing his coverage to be nothing but lies– here is my favorite part– so I copied it so I could translate word by word– it is like a threat–

It solicitd to apply the decree to the journalist of FoxNews. And what says the news article? That two reasons exist that justify the enormous increase of cocaine traffic through Venezuela. First it is that the DEA has let operate in the country, accused by the government of Chávez to spy for the Americans. And second it suggests the national government would have been sold to the narcotics traffickers, allowing the free cocaine circulation by Venezuela in exchange for money. It argues the news article that the national government cannot extract more petroleum, and therefore to obtain more money, since it counts on obsolete equipment of exploration and production.

Eva Gollinger asked for the night of Thursday in the Hojilla the expulsion of the country of the journalist Adam Housley, of FoxNews, to make a news article on full Venezuela “of lies and falsifications.” Housley journalist would be at the moment in the country. The news article assures that Venezuela “is a great freeway” through which they passed the last year 300 tons of cocaine originating of Colombia towards the United States and Europe. That amount would represent a third of all the cocaine that is sold in the world. Eva Gollinger remembered that president Chávez emitted a decree that specified that any journalist who came to Venezuela to say lies would be declared “person nonpleasing” and expelled from the country.
well I translated it and copied and pasted it here but the post didn’t go throguh!

Rod, I have over 100 items, T-Shirts, coffe mugs, calendars, crap like that. I make designs for them, different categories are coming out, like internet related, comical, holiday related, things like that. If somebody wants to put their own photos on items they can upload the file to me, things like that. Then CafePress does the work for me as far as the manufacturing and delivery part. I jst started it so it will take about a month to get the kinks out. I do webpage design also, that’s almost completed, but because I waffle soooo much, I kept changing the style.
Hey Rod.
Doing well. thanks. I think I should change my name to k2.
Just overwhelmed by all the info over the last two days.
and, now looking forward to Chicken Fried Steak tomorrow.
How about you?
KT–
Translate Eva’s link? from Juan–
k2 that’s the 2nd time somebody wrote to karen and i, being as arrogant as i am, answered twice.
technically i was here first…. soooo… hahahaha, nah, it doesn’t matter, but if somebody writes just Karen, I get dibbs on giving the answer first.

No news from Adam tho
Karen T
Oops. forgot to add that I left a note for you on the vote blog.
Hey K2…and how are YOU? -Rod-
Yes, I was talking to you, T
Cool that the kids are away. It’s always nice to unwind without the screeching. Aren’t you glad the sleepover isn’t at your place?
What’s this about a store? -Rod-
Karen T
should I just change my name to K2?
besides, I think Rod was asking you.
Rod, my blood pressure is down because I stayed away from the tiger thread and my daughter went to a sleepover (we like when that happens). I opened an internet CafePress Store so I sit here online for hours at a time making designs that always come out crappy and I blog while I am doing that. Tomorrow is the first time I get to Caucus. That’s it on my end, not an exciting life.
ut oh where you talking to me or k2? bah hahahaha!!!
Juan… I gotta laugh at the deportation thing! We’ve had several illegals commit crimes here, get caught and put back into society to commit more heinous crimes and never get deported.
I’ve seen pictures of Spain, gorgeous, not many of Venezuela, but the ones I have seen are mostly attached to terrible stories so I never expected to see beauty when I looked at them. There has to be some really nice spots there, others say it’s beautiful.
Well, I’m really anxious to hear Adam’s report. (Adam, that’s a hint).
Karen how goes it tonight?
chavez se gasto el papel tuale el 2d
No patriot could possibly support suppressing their own people, not for money, not for a promised position under a dictator. If it hits the fan there, and some support Chavez against the people, they need to be hung from a lightpost when it’s all over, or like Daniel Ortega, they’ll be back eventually. -Rod-
Daniel,
es un supermercado Exito, en el foro lo dice, no se exactamente cual, pero asi estan todos … no hay nada pana, ni siquierea papel tualé (toilette paper)
uummm k2.. that report says that there was a riot and they were destroying ticket counters, they were stranded for 2 days with families! Where ever Adam, Keith and Nora go there is always comotion hahahahah! He fell right into another story that he wasn’t looking for.
I hope we hear from him before the night is over.
Karen
HAHA yes, Spain … some venezuelan has Spanish nationality therefore they move to Spain, other simply go “paperless”. Other venezuelan invest in the US and get their visas, get jobs and completly legal, others, let’s say, less legal and then got deported.
Venezuela is a beautiful country, great people, wealthy country and then we screwed it up ….
Juan
que supermercado es ese?
That’s not a pretty picture, Juan, yet it’s socialism as we’ve all seen it for the last 50 years. -Rod-
Daniel… I’m going to need time to translate that… I noticed there were 65 comments made though.
Current picture of Venezuelan supermarkets:
http://www.noticierodigital.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=327659
Oh Daniel.. I appreciate that…thanks! I’m going to look in a minute!
Juan!! hahahaha… yeah, like you’ll all go to Spain right? That was cute!
The way things are going over here right now, you can give anyone of us 5 bucks and we’ll give you amnesty in return!
Rod,
Sectors in the military are on the move, led by Chavez ex Defense Minister Baduel who now opposes him. Probably he have the necessary leadership to throw chavez away along with a massive, nationwide civil movement. I don’t know other realistic way … The civilians are ready to support that, are the military?
Chavez gives the military great amount of money and corruption to avoid that. Some of them have true patriotism, other love Washington (the one imprinted on the US Dollars bills…)
oh k2… you’re good.. I’ll read it in a second.. have to read what Juan just wrote
eeerrr Adam… Where’d ya go?
Karen T,
the only info i could find about airline strike was out of Argentina. But, looks like it had far reaching effect into Venezuela.
Not sure if this is what caused Adam’s departure delays.
http://www.eturbonews.com/821/airline-personnel-strike-leads-riot
Karen,
I agree with the intervention issue. We venezuelans have to step up.
If ONLY we could have some sort of PATRIOTISM.
Chavez is in power because (in part) of great economic support from the very same wealthy venezuelans who helped him get into power. I still remember how great thinkers and wealthy people and families supported him before 1998.
It’s our own misfurtune and stupidity.
Like Rod said very well, Freedom is not for free, it is very costly and Venezuela ignore the price. Probably we will need to suffer more until we get the message.
That means more venezuelan moving to other countries (ahem, like the US… sorry, like Spain, Costa Rica and even Colombia)
