Susan,

too funny - looks like Tomaso (sp?) will have to go with you, then. Or, I can just beg for you.

K2, at your service. :)

reference to Adam sending me an email--

I would have loved the opportunity to have met him so all of you could have seen some pictures too-- I like to share-- there was also a request in my email box asking I get an autograph-

I, personally, don't do autographs-- never have-- so this would have been for somene-

but if this meeting does not happen, I will not lose any sleep-- Whatever happens, happens--

There are two that I don't like flying in and out of Dallas (I agree with Adam about going from one terminal to the other) and Atlanta. They are a pain! Oh and Orlando is a pain too!
I do have several that I like...Charlotte, Honolulu and Tampa.

My favorite airport is the airport whose gentle breezes help guide my craft skyward.....ever higher to a point where I can observe the realities of life from the safety of the heavens........then have the outstretched concrete fingers lure me back down to return and relive those realities........for better, or worse.

Susan,
you are such a sweetheart.

Looks like your search for Adam is going to be a little more work....maybe he could just send you an email to let you know where he will be...

Our next trip will most likely be to Palm Springs to visit Mom-in-law, in late February - a good time to 'get out of town'.

I hate to say this, but I haven't flown in 25 years :(

The last time I flew was in the early 80's and even flying in and out of LAX was no sweat. You reported for your flight 20 MINUTES before departure and away you went. Being in uniform actually helped back then. Flying in and out of Van Nuys was even better. Van Nuys, being (or was?) an Air National Guard base as well as a civilian strip, made it a natural for my flights since I often was on military craft. Back then I invariably flew in the jumpseat in the c*ckpit doorway too, both on Continental's flights as well as the military's.

On the otherside, Denver was kind of a pain if I had to fly in and out of it since it was an hour's drive from home. COS (Colorado Springs Municipal Airport) was dual use, served by the city and by Peterson AFB. I either had to walk from the barracks to the AFB terminal a block away or drive 4 miles to get to the Continental terminal. Either way, same thing, just get there 20 minutes before the flight leaves.

*-> I think the only time I had trouble with a flight was on one from LAX to San Antonio. Man, I didn't get out of Texas for 3 months!

Time's change, and as with most things, not for the better. -Rod-

And if you are transferring in Dallas and have to go from one terminal to another, it can be a looooong ride.

I sure don't know how you do it...

I used to be a traveling District Trainer ... and I hated the whole airport/car rental deal...
(especially b/c I was all alone)

UGH..
I wouldn't go back and do that for all the money in the world....

LV airport is a pain, I admit...
it's a pain just to drop people off at the airport... they need to do something about that...
there are so many people crossing and it can take forever to get to the other side.
We need little stop lights like they do in Oakland.
