Where’s the ones with Susan?

Jen that is either the gate # or the parking lot #. It is easy to get turned around when the crowds leave or go in. The newer stadiums are like “stadiums for dummies”. That way they don’t have to help as many find their car.

I kind of figured that, but it’s so obtrusive. After a few beers and a ball game, maybe it needs to be. ha.

I dunno-I am waiting for a report on all that too. Susan is probably making all kinds of friends today and will pull in at midnight.

OMG–

I just got back– what a mess this started out to be– they sent me to the wrong place- and the Security guards- SAFE were so rude– and because of their attitudes I met a bunch of people– all involved with the Super Bowl– We sat there waiting for Adam and I walked over to some risers and took shots of CBS and bunch of news media thinking I would make it worth my while– after two hours, we started walking back to the stadium– and got a ride from a cop– and on our way to my car were some risers– and lo behold– I found Adam– HE IS SO NICE– I MEAN NICE– AND SO ADORABLE– SHY IN A WAY– Keith was there- and Ron- and I believe Dave- super nice guy was there– And Brian from Fox and Friends– but Adam- is just a super cool guy– If I ever had any doubts about him and arrogance, he does not have ANY! He was just a normal guy- jeans- and from the other guy- I forgot his name- but I have pictures- he said Adam was laid back and real nice to the crew– Ron is adorable and Keith -OMG– this was a truly great experience– Adam has beautiful eyes- hazel and he is all muscle– flawless skin– He was sooooooooooooooo nice to Ken-

OK– most of the good pictures were taken on Maren’s camera– she is going to try to swing by tonight and download them here on my computer– she was on her way to work– so I took a few with my camera– and I will post these now but all the good ones will have to be either tonight or tomorrow–

I was sent clear to the opposite side- — what a mess but that is cool because I met some cool people who were pissed off at security too- The security at that place were wanna be cops-

I was told by a few there security is really rude and they were happy when I asked for the jerk’s name- and then I complained to the Commander of the Police department- and he gave me all the info on who to call- a few of the workers for the Super Bowl told me they have my back and gave me their names– lol And I found out it is Tom Petty doing the gig thing at half time by my new buds- who called the security jerk- Gestapo!

Turns out Adam was on the street side and in plain view–

But all is well that ends well– no doubt!

It was soooo neat to see a bunch of very nice people who do such a great job on reporting but were so down to earth– John Hook was cool too- he gave me a hug– but Adam is the best!

I was there for about fifteen minutes– maybe more– we got alot done in fifteen minutes- I kind of still made them look my way as I walked off– snap- snap– snap-

Adam is fair and equal– I saw that today- especially when he was talking to the Mass. guys-

And what Adam saw in me today– well, I will let him tell you– I think he was entertained in a way-

Adam is a sweetie– and his crew are soooooo cool– very normal- Adam wears cool sunglasses- jeans- good expensive tennis type shoes- his teeth are white- his eyes are hazel- and he is all muscle– he is a very casual guy–

Check under My Computer. Usually a camera will show up just like a hard drive will. Just open it like you would your C: drive and move the pics to the computer. If not, just pull the card out and put it in the card reader. That will open like a HDD too. -Rod-

So many times when Brian is confused about a difference between a cow and a steer I think a weekend on the farm and Brian would be so different. But then again it is Brian’s innocence that is appealing, if not irritating!

you might try picasa by Google I love it but I use it with my gmail. It is the only picture software that I can import easily from anywhere. It is free too.

I was pretty happy with how it all turned out…they did a great job. I do think people should know what can happen … and it can happen to any of us … it could happen to us again. Most people have not a clue about lifetime caps. Weren’t the Zeiglers soo soo sweet??? God, my heart breaks for them. They sure did go to hell and back… well their still living it actually.

It will air again a few more times over the weekend, really early on Sunday mornings and then 11pm Eastern on Sunday … then I hear it will be available online to watch after Monday.

I wish every single one of our politicians would watch.. I’m serious. THEY need to see it.

I wish people in many levels of gov’t, and in medicine too, could take a trip down memory lane with me inside my head through Tim’s 3 liver transplants, more episodes of rejection than I can count, more trips from Colorado to Omaha than I can count, the destruction of his kidneys, dialysis, his death…As you knowfamilies have to go through all of that as well. Jobs are on the line, homes, marriages…entire lives…and that’s on top of what the patient goes through.

If they only knew, they wouldn’t make it so difficult for people to navigate the system. -Rod-

I need to tell you that when we leave a ballpark I am juggling 5 of those huge cups(you pay that much I am gonna keep them), 5 mini hats that ice cream came in, a towel or a blanket with a logo on it. a camera, a huge foam #1, not to mention my camera. All the while I am trying to keep up with DH and oldest that both can walk much faster than me, while keeping an eye on youngest. I can no longer hold his hand but he is still not as tall, and looking for the middle one. I am so glad to find the right gate with everyone in tact and no accidents a number that big makes me happy!

And I didn’t even have a beer! At a dell game I was hauling three wooden bats, it was bat day and the boys kept swinging them. We are a sight!

Rod, you’re right. It is almost too much to bear. I look back and don’t know how we did it. *shakes head* I feel bad b/c I know there are so many other families struggling with that now.
I will never forget that.
I was very fortunate to have a wonderful and supportive family and husband. It did require help from everyone, especially when we were out of state for almost 3 months. All I can say is..
thank God for Ronald McDonald House. They were a Godsend. Dealing the financial and insurance end of it was a full time job in itself. *big sigh* Oh boy, I really hope from now on, it will be easier.
It sure does prove how strong you really are. Our undying faith in God kept us sane.
I don’t know how people get by that don’t believe in God.

I know what you mean. We never stayed at a Ronald McDonald House, instead staying at a place owned by UNMC called Potter House, an old Victorian mansion that had been renovated and donated. It was only for transplant patients and their families and is just a 3 block walk from the hospital. The state of Colorado paid for the room, gave me a per diem to eat on…it made things easier but by no means easy. My first trip out there my job back home fell victim…I was gone 16 weeks and the law allowed for 12 or 14…one of them. There were times they’d send us home and 3 days later we’d get a call telling us his bloodwork was bad and we’d have to drive back, 10 hours each time. I think the record short-stay home was something like 8 hours. We did that for 8 years, mostly just me and Tim but sometimes the wife would go.

When I got sick…she left. It’s a hellofa life. -Rod-
