The Trunk Show

Here it is. I actually edited this on the plane last night, but am just now getting some down time to post it. This is what it would be like if you were walking into your Trunk Show appointment in New York.  By the way, a trunk show is basically a special set up in which vendors present their suits, ties, shirts, jackets, etc directly to reporters, anchors, etc. In this case it allows us to preview and/or purchase merchandise directly from the designer or store all at once, without having to go door to door.

Gwen!! That was great! Loved that line, they get it from you only when they look good hahaha… but they always look good so you’re doing a really good job!

Nice Tie Adam!!!!!!!! Excellent taste. We (I) always keep an eye on what ties you guys wear. You have my approval on that one. I do have a few things to say to Neil Cavuto though.

Kristel, nice try, nobody has annoyed you yet hahahaha… give it some time and frequent visits from Adam. You’re new to the scene, welcome!

Jessica the new kid on the block! Welcome! Looks like you guys are having a lot of fun.

Thanks for keeping the FNC crew looking their best! Far better wardrobe than any other news station.

Wheeeeee!! This was fun Adam! Thnaks

Ladies in control….:-)

Your tie….Kansas State wildcat purple!

I dunno about all those ties…how much are they nicking you for them? Putting me into a suit makes as much sense as putting one on an ape. -Rod-

Adam – I’m sure you could pick up some black leather ties for the rest of the FOX guys in Daytona or maybe that’s not what “black leather ties” means.???? lol

John – from what I understand…Blackbeard’s is still open. I can’t say because I haven’t been up there since last summer and I haven’t been to bike week / beachside in I don’t know how long. Seems as far as I can get during bike week is Daytona Speedway for Motocross. If I should make it up there I will try to have a camera to get some shots. :-)

ps. Adam – I too like the tie but I saw Brian Kilmeade take his purple tie off yesterday because Carl Rove said he didn’t like it, he was teasing of course but still Brian wanting to be “THE MAN” took it off. ha ha

Kathy in Texas–

You get the prize for guessing what the Trunk show is- on the other thread-

Adam– Cute video– I am glad you had your top botton unbottoned- I bet it feels like a tight noose having to have these all bottoned- LOL

So how much does one of these ties cost? For you?

Yeah I used to love trunk shows in Dallas. That was BK (before kids). You get to see stuff that no one esle does.

Adam has some kind of fun some days! I knew FNC had a great stylist, mostly I love her choices!

Those people are weird….

when you get fired you have have to give back the cloths lol..?

and why is it called a trunk show?

Avi,
It comes from the old idea that a tailor or dressmaker would open up her traveling trunk and show you what they had to sell. It is great thing for a new designer as well. You get to see new designs and be the first to own clothing by a designer.

Okay I admit I was a fashion driven person BK (before Kids). Some days I miss the excitement of a great designer. I am thankful for Project Runway I get to watch the clothes and not buy a thing!

Okay since this thread is small, and this is Adam’s blog I did not want to take up vital space. But my blog is growing by leaps and bounds. I am grateful to Adam and the people here for encouraging me. I got a mention at a huge blog!

To the sky baby, this is my plan for extra income. I need to focus on advertising when I get some more time!

Adam thanks for the open encouragement, okay not open but I am pretending!

Adam–Nice tie! Did someone named Tamera help you color coordinate that?
I suppose the ladies trunk room was too crowded for you to get into to; you probably had to take a number to get in there!!
Hello to the ladies there at Fox working the trunk show-good job.

Patty- LOL – PS I love you!

Adam I know you are busy! But honestly I felt like you were silently encouraging me. It is the best thing I ever did, other than marrying and having munchkins of my own. It is truly for me a stress relief. I have been here long enough to get a jest of you.

I truly appreciate it!

This thread just makes me want to shop and shop! I used to love picking out ties for my dad and brothers. My DH doesn’t wear a tie, so I miss it!
