Can the Chinese Government Stop the Rain?
It’s been a hectic week in this fascinating country: we’ve walked the Great Wall with the L.A. Dodgers, traveled to the Gobi Desert to see how the sands are literally swallowing up whole villages, and and we’ve explored how the Chinese intend to change the weather for the Olympics!
That’s right, they say they can stop the rain!
And a good thing too, given that for reasons known only to the Chinese government, they built the Olympic Stadium with no roof … for events that take place in monsoon season. We’ll see how that goes! But one thing you can say about the Chinese — when they put their minds to something they usually do it. I wouldn’t bet against them pulling off this science fiction feat and keeping everyone dry this summer.
Check out our report on how they plan to do it and stay tuned for more blogs, pictures and video as the FOX crew heads into the moutains of southwest China over the next few days to answer that age-old question — how do Pandas have sex?
