3:25 ET: We are in the Quick Response Vehicle, which will hopefully allow us to do a Studio B live shot.

Airport cancellations are at 40 to 50 percent at DFW Intl. American Airlines in cancelling about 70-75 percent of its flights here. There is a HUGE line of people stuck here. Photos to come shortly!

2:26 ET: The Dallas bureau crew is launching toward DFW International airport where there are reports of flight delays and cancellations.

pict0663.jpgWe’re in the bureau today waiting on pins and needles for something to happen. “Warning” is the operative word.

In Eastern Texas, Arkansas and Western Louisiana — all areas we cover — there are tornado, severe thunderstorm and flood warnings issued by the National Weather Service.

Here in Dallas, it’s pouring. I took a couple of pictures from our office to show you how dismal it looks outside. We’re also been hearing ominous thunder with regularity and seeing lightning.

Hopefully, nothing will happen, but if it does, we’ll get there as quickly we can. Otherwise, we have a trip scheduled to Houston tomorrow.
