Bugs Crawling Under Skin: Doctors Dispute if it’s a Disease or Mental Illness

I’m no medical expert, but by all accounts Morgellons Disease sounds like a nightmare. Those who say they’re afflicted report having itchy, open sores, the feeling of bugs crawling under their skin, and even mysterious blue and red fibers sprouting from their body. It sounds totally bizarre - but enough people are now reporting symptoms that there’s now a major Bay Area study underway by the Centers For Disease Control.

The real surprise to me was finding a doctor willing to sit down with me on camera to discuss Morgellons. My own dermatologist refused, even over the phone. That gives you an idea of how controversial this ailment is. I finally found one respected physician affiliated with UC Davis … who told me he’d received death threats after telling patients that instead of a real skin disorder, they were suffering from a mental illness.

I learned the most common diagnosis is, in fact, a brain disorder called delusional parasitosis. Dr. Peter Lynch told me the only reason he was willing to go on the record was because he’s semi-retired. The stories he told were heartbreaking: He said patients were using needles - even knives- to dig out their perceived invaders to try to convince their doctors they’re not crazy. He said some have became so despondent, they killed themselves. He said others killed their pets after becoming convinced their “bugs” were coming from the family dog and cat. He said many patients were adamant about having a real disease … and flatly refused to take psychotic medications that might help.

Patients say they’ve heard all of this before and are tired of being dismissed by doctors as having a mental illness. Many have turned to the Internet for support, and to find doctors sympathetic to their conditions.

Now, in what’s amounted to the medical version of a Mexican standoff, patients and doctors alike are awaiting the results of the CDC’s study. No one argues these people are suffering from something. But whether it’s a physiological, or psychiatric disorder, is what the CDC intends to find out. Right now they’re still lining up people to participate in the study, and hope to have answers as early as next year.

I believe that this is a mental problem. When i was younger i experimented with some street drugs, and then some RX drugs and i thought i had blackheads under my skin, and in reality there was nothing there. When i was stright i was dismayed to see what i had done to myself thinking i was poping blackheads, or thinking that i had a hair growing under the skin.

I have to wonder if any of these people are on some RX drugs, or some medication that is making them have a false perception of reality.

I have not done this anymore in years, but have scars to show for how bad i picked myself to peices.

I have this problem and, I admit, it sounds like a psychiatric illness, but I’m pretty sure that it is a variant of Shingles, or nerve damage resulting from Shingles. I had Shingles several years ago and, about once a year since then, have had an outbreak of something similar, but it starts out with the “bugs under the skin” sensations. The whole thing lasts for about 3 months. I use a topical analgesic several times a day. I am a 69 year caucasion female, pretty sure I’m not crazy. I attempted to volunteer for the study, and said I’d use my home to acquire additional information from around the country, but they wouldn’t accept any input from the public. Eventually, small, hard lumps rise to the surface of the skin, and “something” can be expelled, but the lump still remains and usually leaves a scar. I just think there’s more to it than a “mental illness”.

Doesn’t this story, just make you want to slap somebody? Hard? I have seen pictures of this ailment. The real question is, who is telling these “doctor’s” to tell their patients, that it is all in their head? Huh?
Moron’s, the whole lot!

“and flatly refused to take psychotic medications that might help”

I would call this statement a bald-face lie. I gladly went to the shrink that I was sent to. I knew his medications would help me through this hell I suddenly found myself living. I took the anti-psychotic drug, Seroquel, for two years. It did not make my “delusion” go away.

At 3 1/2 years and counting, I am managing to reduce the population of this scourge that lives in my hair, my skin, my eyes, ears and nose. If the therapies I am doing are reducing the attack on my body, doesn‘t that mean that something after all is attacking my body? I am doing things such as the infrared sauna, daily Epsom salt baths, using oils and lotions containing glycerin on my skin and cleaning up my environment.

I have no answer for the things I find on my skin and in my skin, but I have shown my husband the tiniest lesion and asked him to tell me how I caused a microscopic lesion to occur on my skin? I cannot tell you why my “delusion” is crawling around in my ears as soon as I lay my head on my pillow. I cannot tell you why doctors will not do so much as a blood test to determine if I am fighting an infection. It is all a mystery to me, and to the thousand others suffering the same misery.

Yes, we use needles to get the “thing” out of our skin. It can feel like a thorn or glass in my skin. Once it is removed (and maybe others in the same lesion) then and only then can it begin to heal.

This is one of the worst news stories I have seen to date on this mystery being called Morgellons. I hope you didn’t strain yourself too much, Claudia Cowan, interviewing one doctor and one CDC spokesperson. Did you spend about five minutes doing your research? You really should be ashamed

When you have elderly people coming to you with Organisms coming out of their skin. Sound of mind
truckdrivers, farmers, Nurses, People in the Community who are hiding because of their disfigurements
Normal Every Day People.
Then Many Doctors with this (YES, MS COWAN DOCTORS EVEN HAVE IT) and can’t say anything because of fear of losing their practices because they treat Morgellons Patients.
I will admit there are some that act crazy, but wouldn’t you if you had hard fibers that feel like plastic and wool along with chunks of debris and organisms, coming out of your skin. Some cut at themselves because these sores hurt like having glass under your skin.
I am currently in Contact with a friend at the CDC, this has been one of the most reported disease entity at the CDC.
Yet they also LIE and say they have had a few a week reporting to them.
I HAVE HAD 2 PEOPLE NOW COMMIT SUICIDE BECAUSE THEY COULDN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE, THEY WEREN’T CRAZY, THE LACK OF ATTENTION TO THEIR DISEASE MADE THEM DESPERATE.
IF, MS. COWAN, YOU WANT PHOTOGRAPHS OF DILLUSIONS CHECK IT OUT ON THE INTERNET AND GO TO THE CHARLES HOLMAN FOUNDATION, CALL DR SUSAN KOLB IN ATLANTA.
Hey while you are at it, why don’t you contact a reporter in Miami who has won Emmys for his work for
FOX independet his email is http://www.pfraser.com He has photographed lots of delusions.
You need to get hour story straight Mam

Dear Ms. Cowan,
Forgive me for saying so but what you’ve heard is wrong. This is a disease and it is a parasitic infection. There are other infectious diseases which people are contracting every day from world travel, etc. These diseases are NOT Nationally reportable. For these diseases to be detected a person would have to go to a Infectious Disease Specialist and certain parasitic diseases have no reliable tests. One example is a disease called Neurocysticercosis which is a cestode infection aka; tapeworm. These tapeworms can be carred by pigs, beef, dogs, cats, fish. The only way to detect this disease in a human being is through a cat scan and by that time there is brain involvement such as seizures or visual disturbances. The eggs cannont be found in a excrement sample. I believe this is exactly the type of infection that these folks have.
They have a Infectious disease which is not readily diagnosed which gives horrific symptoms which a doctor is unable to diagnose and here you
have a frustrated dr. To take this the step further from being frustrated to antagonistic to a patient is beyond belief to me.

These people need compassion and medical care for this debilitating, life altering condition, not judgemental disdain from a medical community who took and oath to help them. Dermatology is a graveyard of medical science.
They’ve basically stopped trying to help anyone other than the cosmetic patient. The medically complex patient such as “Morgellon’s” takes up time and money and it is hard for them to get reimbursed from insurance companies for this type of case.

Here is a example of an undercover reporter from the “New York Times” who proved just that.

The article is titled “Botox appointments Faster Than For Moles Study Finds.”

Thank you.

All the recent attention to Morgellons has failed to address the fact that significant, credible, and profound information has ALREADY been done on the Morgellons affliction. I am posting a link here to reference.
http://www.nanotechdisease.com/JanSmithLetter.htm

The general population may be unfamiliar with the technology but IT EXISTS!! The scientists and military knows it does. They created it.

See also
http://www.us-government-torture.com/

- a lot of information to read and THINK about with relation to Morgellons and
See also the Larson Report. Scroll down to almost the bottom - there are yellow blocks. There you will find the link. Those bio/nano devices implanted in Mr. Larson are very similar in their appearance to the ones we have in us.

Wow. No wonder NO ONE is saying much.

Now, if you don’t believe the links provided…do a search for yourself with some of the buzz words. Start at DARPA, DoD, NASA, Nano, and then move into Universities, grants, military…then do a search on patents, nano, in vivo, transducers, photosensors, tissue, adverse biosynthethic research studies, tracking, monitoring, laser, radio frequency, etc…
THEY have done something to ALL of us…on a global scale…I believe, via “chemtrails.” It may not be readily obvious to your general population, but those of us who have this affliction demonstrate “what went wrong” in the “integration” and should be a SIREN to everyone!

We need divine intervention to expose this atrocity…any volunteers?

Mm

Read Dr. Hildegard Staninger’s reports, Dr. Wymore’s reports, and Jan Smith’s EXCELLENT videos and her pdf nano nightmare at Rense. Thousand and thousands of intelligent, sane citizens are NOT delusional-the ones who actuallly think that their litterbox doesnt stink to high heaven are. As far as I am concerned, the nuts (scientists, politicos, military, owned dr’s and media) are running the asylum (USA and other allied countries.) The attempted coverup and debunking of this incredibly diabolical “infection” will be exposed, God willing and the TRUTH will be made known.

Mm
