Me & Max
by Adam Housley
We’ve got some great stories already here in London and I have met up with some of our SKY News pals we’ve worked with reporting overseas. I’ll pass those stories along, but first….we met Max. Great kid and very smart as Tamera notes. He is a great history buff and here’s the video.

Max, that is great you got to meet Adam and Tamera! I don’t get to comment a whole lot on here but I do read the blog everyday. I know Susan will be very excited to see the AZ T-shirt!
Becky
waaaaaa I am like so crying—-
Adam- Max- Tamera–
the three of you are adorable!!!! How was coffee?
Signed,
Sobbing away!
Susan: this was the surprise i was talking about
The coffee was fine, but the ink from the pen they used to write on the cup went all over my hand!
Adam: I can’t post comments using my other email adress
Also, Tamera is better at doing an english accent than i am!
haha DID the people in the caffe recognize you ?
So cool! What a keepsake Max!!
Adam, you really do have a soft spot in that heart don’t you?
Tamera, are you camera shy without a script? *L*
Im gonna go sulk in my KS corner now!
*LOL*
Jen..you are so funny!
Max–
You are toooooo cute!!
Max,
whats the Population of Notting Hill? lol
Max–
Kathy in Texas had the same problems too– and she tried for days-
New York–
How come the bloggers can’t post their sites anymore? We are kind of curious–
Avi-
Do you want an AZ t-shirt? I can send it to your dad’s law firm in Florida?
Avi: Well Notting Hill is not a defined location, so there isn’t any boarder to where it ends and the next area begins. But there are 41,000 per square mile living in Kensington, which is where Notting Hill is.
That was the 2nd take of the video, tamera said more in the first take, but Adam had switched the camera off by mistake while recording.
Susan,
I got one to many shirts lol….. but thanks anyways
when i go to AZ in a few years ill bring some Holy land souvenirs
oo and how far does McCain live from you ?
Avi–
McCain has a home in Sedona– I don’t know about Phx/ But a place to go to when you are here would be Sedona– We will also take the tour at the State Capitol– You will have fun! I hope Max comes here too when he studies in the US–
Jen is going there this June and I am sure she will take pictures and put up a slide show so you can see how pretty it is there– Adam has been there too–
Adam–
Your mom left this on the other thread-
—————What great friends he is meeting- next it might be Avi? —————————
___________________________________________________________—
You might as well extend your vacation and stop by to see Avi- and then head over to Japan and visit LDG-
—————————————————————————-
And of course, I am late again— Not quite– but working on it!
thanks Max, Adam, and Tamera–xxxxx
Avi–
train of thought got lost– Jen is going to Sedona and Adam has been there-
xxxx
And HI BECKY!!!!
Now and then I see your name pop up!!!
xxxx
Susan: Will you meet Jen when she is in Arizona? I hope you do.
Max–
We are planning on it– I will seek her out too!! I hope I am not too wild for her-
xxxxx
Can I borrow someone’s plane? I need to fly right now from Surprise to Phx/
I love it! Yeah! Thank you Adam, Tamera and Max (and to whoever filmed it).
Lots of smiles here…..
Hi Susan!
you live in a city called Surprise lool?
Yes I am…..But the best part of the trip is the day I go and have Arizona iced tea with Susan!
I’m going to get one of those T-shirts too!!
—————-
Max–lol–sounds like Eric should have gone with Adam to operate the camera.
Avi- I’ll see if I can’t find McCain while I’m in Sedona…maybe I can crash one of his BBQ parties.
K2: Adam filmed it. He just was pointing it at himself.
Becky: I promised her I would wear the shirt she sent me when i met Adam.
i dont think Adam is coming here … Tamara dont feel safe here ….. i think she said that in a post ages ago
Max, thanks. Hey, did Adam say where they were going next?
Avi, maybe Tamera will change her mind.
K2: Nope, I think he likes to be secretive.
Max…the million dollar question…is there a ring on tamera’s left hand?
*giggle*
Jen–
I have some things here for you– as a matter of fact– My closet runneth over– I just sent my brother and my nieces a bunch of things so the closet in this room was void of gifts and I had to start all over– Patty is in my pile too– (her birthday is in May) —-
I just ordered from VS a whole bunch of sweaters and crew necks– they had the best sales– on their site– so the closet will be the way I like it– full!!! you never know who has a birthday!!!
Avi–El Mirage- next door to Surprise– (the new El Mirage)
Becky- Nice to meet you– No relation to Rebecca and her old site, Questionable Behavior? This was one of the funniest sites ever to be put up!!!
xxxxxx to all! Ken is yelling at me– LET’S GO!!
Patty
Good question, however, being a male specimen, he will probably say he did not notice.
Max - How much is starbucks coffee there????
K2 - Howdy
So Max-
You and Adam are both sporting some facial hair — Is that the Notting Hill way?
This was wonderful - and Tamera picked up on your ’smarts’!
“Great kid and very smart as Tamera notes.”
**We women love a man with brains in their head!! –Tamera is one sharp cookie.
Patty: I didn’t think to look. I think she was wearing a ring, not sure which hand.
KC: the one Adam got for me was equivilent to about $5
Patty–
LOL!!! BTW, did you click on my name- special occasion here you know…ha.
Susan–I am counting the days…68!
max,
that was a starbucks????
Max
Thanks!! For some reason, I figured they would cost way more over there.
Susan…re: “patty is in my pile too”…….*LOL* been a long time since i’ve been shoved into a closet! ha ha ha ha
Yep, KC was right, max didnt look at her hand! *L*
Jen…Hugh Grant…now that IS eye candy!!!!
Adam, see what happens when you make people “real”….we all get giddy!
OH Max-
“Patty: I didn’t think to look.”
Typical Man……………
LOL
I probably would have forgot too jen!
*shaking head* $5 for a cup of coffee. Thats just plain crazy!
Ok folks im out —- i gotta wake up crazy early tomorrow for this trip — peace out …..
Jen S,
thats why you shouldve called TMZ they wouldve loooked haha
Avi… *L* g’nite! Have fun tomorrow!
Patty,
a cup of coffee on avg costs me like 2-3-4 bucks as well…… at a cafe
out of the machine at school 1 buck
Here, in the coffee shops that don’t start with a S….you can get a good cup for .50 -.75 and free refills
KC: i think i got one of the cheeper ones.
Avi: Yes.
Jen: did you like my little beard?
I perk my own!
Patty- I would have forgotten too, Maybe. Max–you know I’m just kidding-Love You!
Glad you had a special day - you deserve it!
Avi- Behave! you are cute too! PS- I am also going to Florida- April 6th, but not to Miami- going to Lakeland - need some vitamin D!
Jen S and Patty, I classify you both as women and most women look straight for the finger, I see it all the time and so does my wife, both of us go days without wearing our rings either for work or some other reason and its not even an issue with us.
I never noticed it, but my wife pointed out how girls look at my ring finger almost first thing, now I notice it all the time, the store, the theatre, the mall, at work…girls definitely notice the ring.
I am generally too busy trying to maintain eye contact (as opposed to a different party of the lovely female anatomy) to notice, but now I think its funny. I had a girl at the mall approach me, I was waiting for the wife and sitting on the bench, I will bet I was twice her age, and she was very bold about asking for my number, I informed her I was married and waaaaaaaaaaaay to old and she didn’t seem to mind, she went back, giggled with her friends, and another approached me, told me they were “cool” with it and wanted to party, I am grateful my wife showed up, she is a stunner and truly intimidates women, but I do not remember the girls being that bold when I was in high school.
The ring finger is always noticed by women. even if they don’t realize they are looking, just like I don’t realize I am talking to the twins some times.
I never go to starbucks normally, I just make my drinks myself normally. A lot less $$.
There’s also Costa Coffee here. They cost a lot too.
Why do they both reference money in their name? :-\
Great video….Oh, I’m so jealous. London is on my list of places to go…for sure.
Glad you guys had fun
hey you coffee drinkers, here is something that may explain the starbucks and costa coffe craze.
In a medical study, they had 1,000 people testing new drugs, one of the drugs cost .03 cents and was given to half of the people, the other drug cost a couple of dollars each and was given to the other half.
The people given the .03 cent drug reported almost no affect, the people given the more expensive drug reported, less pain, better mood, more energy, and the like.
Both pills were identical and the only difference was what each person was told they cost.
Maybe that is why some people feel good about shelling out $5 for a cup, when I still enjoy, thick, black, hot, free army coffee.
Derek…well gee, i’m glad i got in the woman classification!
Hubby doesnt wear his ring (to dangerous on the farm), he’s always hit on. I dont care, i know who he’s going home with.
Derek: I heard about that study. I think they weren’t even pain pills, just placebos.
Max-
Yes I like your beard!!
looked like Adam had a couple sprouts more than you.
Also–god point about the coffee shop names……..hmmm; I think it’s a status thing for some people.
Jen: I think Adam is taking a vacation from shaving. While i shaved this morning
Hey Susan,
No I am not any relation to the Rebecca you are speaking of. It sounds like she had an interesting site!
patty, its the way it goes, my wife has no doubt who I am going home too
max, you are right, just sugar pills
patty,
there is that lingering doubt of has adam put a ring on that lockdown finger? He would do well to marry tamera, and my money is on him surprising her on this trip, some place romantic, he is probably trying to work up the nerves to ask her.
He was nervous when he was an exotic dancer too
nothing wrong with that face “stubble”, its sexy!
Told ya, I may be old, but i’m not legally blind… or dead! *L*
Derek…your itching for Adam to call you down! *LOL*
patty,
yes,yes I am. I am the fisherman waiting for the trout to rise, to take the bait.
I think adam is too “occupied” to do much reading right now.
ahhhh, wish I was there! looked like fun! What a great idea to post the video of the 3 of them! LOVE IT! Hope it’s the beginning of something! “Adam travels the globe meeting his fans”.
sunshine, that is an excellent idea.
Susan - AZ My husband and I flew out to AZ for a vacation several years back and it ranks as one of our best vacations! We covered the state in our rental car. We flew into Phoenix but didn’t spend much time there. Took a train ride through Verde Canyon and viewed the beautiful land - the ocotillo plants were so pretty! Drove along what I think is called the Apache trail…is that correct? It was a dirt road through some scary cliff areas (white knuckles) but we passed Roosevelt Lake which was so beautiful with the rock mountains rising out of it and saw the dam. Went to see Montezuma Castle. Drove north through the beautiful Red Rock in Sedona took pictures in front of Bell mtn. and continued north through Oak Creek Canyon for more breath taking views. Passed through Flagstaff and saw the snow capped mnts from a distance on our way to the Grand Canyon! Hiked a little way down bright angel trail and made plans to come back YEARS later with our boys to hike all the way down to the river and camp overnight. (remind self to make plans for next year)
Oh and how could we go to AZ without going to Tombstone! Of course we had just seen one of the “tombstone” movies. So, we covered the state! Oh, forgot to mention how much we loved Tucson too and the awesome Saguaro National Monument. Susan, my husband and I have always said since our trip there that should we have to move out of FL that AZ would be on the top of the list for relocation. You have a beautiful state!!!! Very different from FL for sure (not that FL isn’t beautiful of course….just drastically different)
Susan - another “map idea” for you…or anyone else that’s good on the computer.
How about a map of the country (plus England, Israel & Japan) showing where all of Adam’s fans live. I am trying to remember where everyone lives but I don’t seem to have that much memory left. lol
Adam - yes, it does rain MOST afternoon’s in the summer BUT early bird gets the worm! Hit the beach in the morning and there are plenty of hours to get a nice tan! (In case you need to work on it) Hey, don’t forget….you did miss bike week but I did get some photos for you to see. (Under my name) Since you missed bike week you might try to make Biketoberfest.
Adam: If you hadn’t been in a hurry i would have shown you where all the famous places in the movie were. Most of them do not exist in the same place as in the movie.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *big huge smiles*
I’M SOOO SOOOO EXCITED!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW FUN!
MAX.. your are just too too cute…. I can’t wait to meet you, too!!
What fun to see this video! Made my day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Adam… I think it’s so sweet that you went out and met Max!
You all looked soo cute…
Hugs!!!!!!!!!!!
John?? WHAT? A smart alleck sp?
NO!!!!!!!!!!!
FL Sunshine ~ I love going to FL. I have family in Clearwater and every other year I go to Orlando and Lakeland for spring training.
OH… I can only imagine how excited Susan is about Max wearing her T shirt…
I just watched the video again… so fun!!
That does it..
ADAM.. next time you come to Vegas… if I can get away, or depending where you are…
I want to meet you too….
If it’s not somewhere too crazy.. I’ll bring my little 2 million dollar soldier boy! We’ll show you his “special zipper”….
Becky - for my info and WHOEVER is going to make our map…what state do you live in?
I’m on the Space Coast of FL but I make it over to the west coast about once a year (more often when we get the season pass to Busch Gardens)
The boys are begging for it this year and with the price of gas we probably won’t leave the state this summer. I’ll be in Orlando tomorrow.
Terri: and they came to notting hill just to see me, then they went back to the hotel right after!
what an honor buddy! you must feel like a hundred bucks!
anyhoo..
I wish our governement would WAKE UP!
http://michellemalkin.com/2008/03/24/terrorists-crossing-our-borders/
FL Sunshine,
I live in Charlotte, NC. You know I have never been to Busch Gardens…as much as I have gone down there that is one place I haven’t visited.
Terri - “special zipper”??? surely I’m not the only one wondering.
FL…click on Terri’s name, you’ll see what she’s talking about
She, her hubby and the “little soldier” are real troopers!!!
oops! Sorry FL…she changed her link.
I”ll go find her page for you.
Patty - thanks, I’ve noticed that picture before. Her little soldier is a REAL cutie but “special zipper”?
Becky - went to Charlotte about 5 years ago to watch the NASCAR race. It was a blast! My brother had a “wealthy” friend who gave him 4 box seats to the race. Sweet!
So, I guess the dogwood is getting ready to bloom huh? I travel to the furniture market in High Point in the Spring and Fall. It’s great because I get to see the dogwood in Spring and the color leaves in Fall.
http://whomagoo.blogspot.com/2008/01/happy-new-year.html#links
Here ya go, terri’s magoo
special zipper as in heart surgery.
Sunshine: maybe Terri is refering to the scar on Magoo’s chest. You can see it in that photo.
Hey guys…
thanks for clearing that up for me…
You all know sure know the drill.
Fl Sunshine… our little guy has had two open heart surgeries …
That reminds me … we go in for an ECHO in a couple weeks… (I’m totally nervous :-/)
to check on his leak and some buildup on the valve….
we know he’ll be needing a surgery somewhere between 12 and 18 more months …
the ECHO will give us a better idea.
Ah, didnt know you were still here TErri.
I hope all goes will with the test! WE’ll be thinking about all of you!!
I am off and on…
hubs is home… so I can’t goof off like usual! *lol*
I did my taxes today… yuk. Well, I didn’t DO them.. I got it all prepared and together to go pay a tax guy $250 to plug into a computer.. I should really try Turbo Tax.
FL Sunshine,
That’s great you got to come to a race and sit in the box seats! I was able to go to a race years ago and sit in the box seats. But, I have been to many races b/c I worked for Dominos selling pizza…definitely an interesting time! I work for NW now and we are the sponsor for what used to be called the Busch series.
Yes, the dogwoods are in full bloom! It’s great for allergies!
That’s cool you get to see the NC in the spring and fall. I think those are two of the best times here.
Adam-
I have no doubt that my in-laws saw you in Lakeland - they were there throughout the 90’s during the winter months and frequented Marchant Stadium.
Spring training will be over when I get there on the 6th — that’s okay - I’ll be at the pool!
FL Sunshine - Too funny- we talked about doing Bush Gardens for one fun event while there - never been. BTW- I’m Kentucky 25+ years - but Ohio in blood.
Max–You should be in bed–aren’t you exhausted from today’s events!
adam.. you are in rare form when you’ve had decent rest and no worries
I still thank you for taking us along on your vacation, so to speak. It’s been fun!!!
re: won’t hit on derek…how funny!!!! See Derek, you’re loosing your “charm”! ha ha
re: John?…where was he today anyway???? hummm
Jen: I was really tired earlier, but it kind of went away, i’ll be going to bed in a moment.
Jen - Busch Garden’s is great and they have made the newest ride (The SheiKra) even better by making it floorless. Wasn’t enough that they take you up to 200 ft then you drop 90 degrees and pick up speed to 70mph! It’s a MUST ride!!! They have so many fun rides at the park plus a wonderful animal exhibit! (if you like beer you also get 2 free beers while in the park - It’s an Anheuser Busch park you know)
ALL - I checked in on our bud “Rod” and he’s not up to 100%. Keep him in your prayers.
