Not What the Doctor Ordered

For those worried about the security of their medical information, a validation for their concerns. Many complain about the digitization of records on the web and computers at so-called secure locations.

Well, that is not working so well here in Southern California, especially with the price of information to paparazzi skyrocketing. We have heard stories of hundreds of thousands of dollars being offered for information and now this.

The nationally recognized UCLA Medical Center needs a remedy of its own. Just weeks after multiple employees were fired for looking at the confidential records of pop star Brittany Spears, Hospital Administrators admit a female employee accessed the confidential records of 61 patients last year, including at least 32 Hollywood stars and politicians like California first lady Maria Shriver and cancer survivor Farah Fawcett.

IN A RELEASE TO FOX NEWS, HOSPITAL LEADERS SAY IN PART, We continue to take steps to improve security systems designed to preclude access by unauthorized individuals, while also ensuring that properly assigned medical personnel can quickly retrieve the information required for emergency or other treatment decisions.

What do you think about all of this?
