Pope Photo Album and video clips

I can’t believe the pope’s visit to the U.S. is almost over. It has been an amazing trip for the Holy Father that has been so well received. I was only able to be at two of the events, the visit to St. Joseph’s Church Friday, and to the St. Joseph’s Seminary Youth Rally yesterday.

We had a tremendous staff that worked very hard to bring you the best pictures, give you the most amazing access, and provide educated, well rounded commentary, and I am so proud to have worked with them all on this historic Papal event. I put together a little photo album here, with lots of behind the scenes shots.

You will see New York FOX 5 anchor Dari Alexander, Fox cameramen Tommy Chiu and Rob Ginnane, FOX Religion Correspondent Lauren Green, and FOX’s Father Jonathan Morris in some of the shots. One person I wish I caught in action was our weekend producer Ellen Fleysher - she at times runs around so fast it’s hard to catch up with her, which may be why her nickname is “Flash.” Our coordinating producer Melanie Schuman was also working extremely hard behind the scenes, and was responsible for setting up all of our live shots all over New York, no small task!

I also took a few short video clips from our position inside the media pen — at one point, we had a front row seat for the Popemobile, as it drove right in front of our live shot. Check out all the secret service running with it…

and just to show you this screaming crowd can go from “zero to 60″ (or the other way around in this case) on the volume scale, listen as the massive crowd pays close attention to every word during the pope’s speech

I was apalled by a comment that Shepard Smith said. “If there is a Heaven” . That is not a comment for him to make to those of us that believe that there ia a heaven and a Hell. Why would he say just make a comment like that if he had doubts!! I guess he will find out that answer when he dies and goes to either Heaven or Hell!! I wonder what the Pope would have to say about that comment. After that remark, I totally lost interest in what he had to say from then on. If someone like him does not believe that there is a Heaven, then he should not ber covering religious events in the future!!

I watched all Saturday and Sunday. This event has impacted my life enormously. I was somewhat of a cafeteria Catholic, however, after this enormous weekend I will try and return to how I used to be. I also pray that the cardinals do reach out to those who have been inflected by selfish individual. I am so impressed that the Pope took every appropriate moment to share with us him total shame of those that had betrayed their calling. Thank you FOX for your wonderful coverage. As to Shepard Smith several questions…..thats okay…..I am quite confident someone of authority explain away his question. We all learn in various ways.

Congratulations to FoxNews for its EXCELLENT coverage of the Papal visit. I was pleasantly surprised at how many events of the Pope was televised. The commentators were all very respectful and I applaud everyone involved responsible for bringing this special special event to air.

Wonderful coverage!! You have certainly come a long way since I met you at the Haidl trial [although KFI is no small thing...] - and it is definitely well deserved. Congratulations. :)
