Picture of the Day
OK, so we haven’t done this in a few weeks and for those new to my ‘On The Scene Blog’, the rules are pretty simple. What, Where, Why, etc….
This is the picture of the day and the first one where I zoomed in to make the guess a bit harder. In the past I have posted pictures of places or things that I thought were interesting and not so well known, but this time I changed it up a bit.
Now some people take it to the extreme and post some pretty funny stories supposedly about this picture, others guess and guess and have I mentioned…..guess. Until the point that I relent. Oh, and when I see things slowing a bit, I will post a hint.
Here it is. Have fun!

This is a couple of bunches of Cabernet Sauvignon in full bloom. This is the way grapes look right now in most of the Northern California wine countries. I think Alfredo was the first to get it right!
Thought it was Sarah Jessica Parker’s “hat” from cannes a few days ago!
LDG–
Yes, Sunshine had the answer– credit goes to her!!!! Sorry Alfredo!
Although, I do like some of her other answers!!! way cute!
the cactus plant you feel into while in Venezuela and your vision was so blurred from the pain you thought you had the camera focused.
Cactus in Caracas? I’m from there, and is not easy to fall into one, you would have to go to an arid place.
Thanks LDG & Patty. The one time I get a POD right first and I get no credit.
Thanks for looking out for me.
Adam must be VERY busy.
ah ha, so it IS grapes….wasnt alfredo adam.
it was FL Sunshine.
LDG’s post relisted the “grape” guess.
so what kind of “pests” bother these? and how often have you had the buds frosted off?
wow adam, where did you go? all the way to the alaskan pipeline or what?
must be a good story wherever it is!
In case anyone cares, here is what the process was, quoting, bold added for clairity.

I posted this yesterday, grape flowers
Jen - “sniff, smelling baby’s head”. that cracks me up because that’s what I used to do to my babies. It made me feel like a dog somewhat but I couldn’t help but sniff my babies each time I picked them up! It’s one of those smells that are locked in my memory. I bet I could’ve picked out my own baby from a dozen other blindfolded just by sniffing them.
Being that it is Tech Tuesday…..I now think that this POD was taken with the all new BallCam that Major League Baseball has been playing around with. The camera is somehow installed inside the ball and gyroscopes keep it from spinning and tumbling as the ball flies through the air. This looks to be a picture of a line drive single hit by a left handed batter in the bottom of the third inning, one on, two out.
I can’t wait for them to show a screwball.
OK ADAM!
Now that KERMIT has been located send him home to me, please. Don’t even think about frog legs for dinner! ✈ ✈ ✈
Adam - (tap tap on the screen) are you there??? you can’t leave us hanging!

Things are slow here………you know what to do!

Oscar figuroa a Venezuelan communst politician said on TV his party and FARC are alied, he appeared in one of the laptop pictures belonging to terrorist Reyes.
Diputado Oscar Figueras: PCV y Farc somos aliados estratégicos
26 de mayo de 2008
Globovisión
http://www.globovision.com/news.php?nid=88530
Alfredo-
Thanks for the continued heads up! Also….I should probable give a hint to this picture. HMM…..It’s related to a big business in California.

@All
I’ll be away for about another day, so I thought I would drop a quick note while I could. Luck to you on the POD. May you be well and safe this Memorial Day, and always. Spend it with a friend, eh?

or maybe u were somewhere random and ur camera fell on the floor and it landed in some weird position and it took a picture by itself and this is the picture? lol

Its NOT a piece of art. And I have to rate the picture a 2 on artistic merit.

Wrong here, dear one! No one saw FL Sunsine give you the “WEED”- so don’t incriminate her-
gracias!
And as for the rate on the picture on a 2 artistic merit, I am assuming you are going from a 1 to 10, being one the highest as in rank, 2 second best!

It was a joke. I don’t even smoke weed.
She did however pass me the crack pipe that she said she got from you dear Susan–AZ.
No sorry, you assume wrong. Going from 1 to 10 and 10 being the best I give it a 2.
I don’t think Adam tried to make an artistic piece with this. If he was trying, whoa I need to give him a few pointers.
gracias!
WHAT: Colutea Arborescens (more commonly known as “Bladder Sena”)………a flowering shrub found in the Mediterranean area.
WHERE: Along the road from Beersheba to Jerusalem, Israel
WHY: You reeeeeeally had to go after spending the afternoon with the locals at the Beersheba Kosher Swill ‘n Grill
Sunshine: I don’t think there is a prize, only gloating rights.
There’s a big knife and gun problem in parts of london. It’s got a lot worst since they banned guns, and then knives.
Patty: Memorial Baby!
Susan: having a good weekend? Has your brother left now?
@PATTY–
I don’t have to run, I just pray for cover! LOL
@Patty-
We’ve been cleaning closets today, ya know the ones you put “everything” in and shut the door and run……i needed the comic relief! Thanks!!!

C’mon Adam, that one was to easy. Do you have any that are tougher?
—————————————————————————————————
SO? What is the answer? I don’t see one! LOL :D:
The picture was the inspiration for this?
Green, green and green
I want a holiday with a scene
Of green, green and green
A summer of green trees
A landscape of green grass
A view full of green vegetables
The colour green
Is a beauty that must be seen!
From a moving vehicles screen
And while we hold onto those machines
That deprives us of the colour green
Remember they provide us vaccines
As well as help the air to be clean
So for green, green and green
I will travel continents across and in-between
And also to any place that I have never been
I will make it routine
Just to see green, green and green

off subject…fyi..there should be a new grandbaby by morning!

Sorry gang it was Baccalaureate or I would have played. Lego kid was busy on the computer as well. Tomorrow is a school day as well as a farm work day. We plan to BBQ after graduation.
Sad to say we are too busy to have any time to spend honoring our vets. I wish our school hadn’t changed it.
This could be sprouts, a seed test. Hubby does that on seeds that he holds over.
Haha!

Sedum as sum have suggested is a good guess as it has a similar structure. Could be baby’s breath.
Other than that I could’nt figure out what the picture was after I came down off the high from FL Sunshine’s weed.
I give up already.
Sunshine-
I think you got it. ……Cheers!
Susan - where are you? Tired from working the cookout at McCain’s this weekend???
looks like the plants out by my pool if I cross my eyes.:-)
Adam - seems no one wants to play along so feel free to email and let me know if I got it right. lol
Max - just read about the death of Robert Knox - 18 year old actor in the latest Harry Potter film - was stabbed to death in London while trying to protect his younger brother. Very sad.
LDG - the crawfish were ah, how do I say, okay? I guess. Actually, they aren’t bad but man, what a lot of work for such a small piece of meat. Then when you get the small piece of meat out you need to “devein” it. YUCK! I can’t get past it to just suck it in like other people. Plus, the yellowish/brownish/greenish stuff that pulls out with the tail from the abdomen area….YUCK, that was not so pretty either. lol
Max - I’ve never won one of Adam’s POD. That would be cool.
BTW, ADAM - what do you award the winner, if I should be so lucky as to get this “blur of the day” right???? lol
Patty: that is very similar. I think you might be right about Sunshine being right.

back for another guess……. a kitten running in the grass by the flower bed. Well, if i squint, it looks like two pointy ears and a tail on either end of a brown spot!
pity that there are not too many of those around, ‘dem crawdads be good eats.
Have a great day, Sunshine!
@All
good luck with the green mystery blob.
((departs))
and I too must agree….more info must be provided by the photographer that did NOT focus! Come on Adam….
I too shall depart (heading to a crawfish boil). hmmmm don’t think there are too many of those in this part of FL, crawfish boil’s that is.
I’m going to need to be saying my regrets shortly, too. Not a holiday here, and rest will be needed before doing my rounds for the day.
((departs shortly))
I do think we will need a bit more than we have to make any serious guesses, but this is fun. Pity that with the holiday weekend most of our American-sited crew has places to be other than here for a day or two.
