Thank’s, to all responsible for airing a shooting event on TV. All you ever see on TV is the negetive of shooting through deaths and violence. There are millions of responsible sportsmen like myself that would love to see more shooting sports on TV. Fox will always be on my list to watch more often.

Yup, that was Bill McMillan. We knew many of the really outstanding shooters of that time, some as talented as “McMillan” but none were more helpful or modest. He was always just a regular kind of guy.

Do you ever wonder if the “McMillan Tilt/McMillan Rotation” could be at the root of TV actors turning a handgun sideways to shoot? I get a kick out of it every time.

C.R Your right about Bill McMillan. I met Mr McMillan while shooting Western Divisional match’s. He was on the relay before mine and after seeing him shoot I ask for some pointer, he gave them to me like a friend would, he was never condescending or belittling while he spoke to me. Never once did he mention his Olympic experience or Gold Medal a true sportsman who didn’t need to brag. Later a member of the Marine Corps shooting team told me who he was and his story. He left a lasting impression.

We have had great coverage this year and now need to keep it going, with many new bunkers poping up it would be super to get the USAMU shooters out for clincs and instrutions to new shooters. Shooting sports need to be shown as to how safe gun handling is when properly trained, also how much fun it is.

Thank You FOX for showing even a small bit of coverage regarding the shooting sports!! For some reason volley ball or rythmic gymnastics are some how SPORTS….but shooting isn’t covered.

I know Vinny and he is a great credit to the USA and the Army. NBC did cover his accomplishment and I would suggest you visit their website and watch the final and the shoot off mentioned. Also the medal ceremony where they played my favorite song for Vinny…. you know the one by Mr Key…. The Star Spangle Banner.

Go USA!!! Another proud veteran here– so happy and honored one of our young men has risen to the occasion. Just like they normally do 24/7 under no fanfare. But this type of success is special. A rallying point for all Americans- from old men once on the guard to those looking for strength, and also for young boys needing a real hero.

Please lighten up on the person who felt America should have higher ranking people do the work… that person doesn’t understand the commitment a soldier makes. Shaming them will only alienate– send that guy some links to valiant soldiers such as Alvin York and John Levitow. Here’s one for starters:

I had wondered what had happened to the shooting sports at this years Olympics. Maybe I have just missed them on the NBC coverage or maybe NBC just doesn’t want to show anything that has to do with guns (in a good way). Thanks FOX for bringing us some Shooting Sports news. By the way, FOX is the ONLY news I watch and the last one I would ever watch would be NBC, if I HAD to watch something else. At least I can feel that FOX is honest and doesn’t slant their NEWS to match their personal beliefs. I WILL have to admit that NBC has done a better job of covering the Olympics this year than they have in the past. Of course, the previous years of coverage have been terrible at times.

I don’t know what being a PFC or any othe rank for that matter, has to do with how straight you shoot. And I sure don’t know why LARRY BAUER “WOULD BE ASHAMED TO HAVE A PFC REPESENTING THE US OF A.” I personally don’t know of any rank more worthy to represent the USA.

I don’t know if FORREST TRACY is trying to stir something up and thinks that’s fun or is just stupid and has nothing alse to say.
