The comments by deputy head of the general staff Col.-Gen. Anatoly Nogovitsyn, reported by Russian news agencies, showed that despite protests from the United States, France and Britain, Russia was confident enough to occupy whatever part of Georgia it deemed necessary.

Great videos Ollie. Loved the 2nd one, but either war is far more repetative than i’d imagined, or the video is on loop. I suspect it’s the 2nd.

Good job, Ollie. Tell it like it is from the front. Stories will always get twisted, and the liberal media will do anything to destroy the U.S’s image, and do not have the courage to fight, only to demean the men and women who wears the uniform of this great country. Honor, Courage, and Commitment. Our colors do not run.

Wasn’t able to view the video on the Azizabad fight because Flash will not work on my computer. Annoying.

The Commando Kandak (battalion), unless I am mistaken, is the 1st Kandak, 1st Brigade, 207 Corps. I was an embedded trainer with the unit in 2006, and found them to be courageous fighters and very willing to scrap with the enemy. Lt Col Jabar, (identified as Major Jabar in a recent article) was the kandak commander and an impressive leader. I worked with the 3rd company, commanded by Captain Hazrat, an outstanding young officer. LTC North, if you are still with these troops, please extend my congratulations to them.

The propaganda campaign is not unusual. We ran into this in ‘06 virtually every time we ran an op. News report, when we actually made the news, were generally twisted out of any resemblance to reality. It’s surprising that the most accurate reports on our actions came out of Chinese news.

Thanks for reporting on this.

As someone who has been in Afghanistan and Iraq working as a combat cameraman for several major US television networks I must say this video does nothing to support the claims made by the US Military. Don’t get me wrong I am as pro military as one can be with regard to our involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan.

However, offering this up as proof is ridiculous. It showed nothing and the second video was looped material. I think it is disingenuous to loop a short clip or two to try a make your material seem more complete and a bit obvious.
