From Broadway to The Big Screen

The film Frost/Nixon tells the true story of talk show host David Frost scoring the interview of the decade – the first Richard Nixon interview after his resignation as President of the United States.  As a journalist, I was fascinated watching Frost prepare for such a major interview.  It looked almost as stressful as my sit down with Madonna!

Frank Langella plays Richard Nixon to perfection — and Michael Sheen shines as David Frost.  You might remember Sheen for his picture perfect portrayal of Prime Minister Tony Blair in “The Queen.”

Sheen and Langella starred in the stage version of Frost/Nixon in London, and on Broadway, before heading to the big screen.  Sheen was very fun to interview, and I found it amusing when he told me, “I can’t remember my life before [this role] anymore.  I vaguely remember I played Blair in a film once, but it seems like a very long time ago now”.

The film is directed by Oscar-winner Ron Howard. For all the scoop on this intriguing film, check out my full report:

I’ll be stopping by ‘The Strategy Room’ at 12pm – Don’t miss it!
