My family has watched the struggles the flood victims have waged the past few days and we want to let them know our thoughts and prayers are with them in their fight to save their homes. We watch their strength and ongoing perserverance in the face of this never ending catastrophy and it makes us remember that we are all Americans and it is our national character that their brave battle embodies. We are proud of them and we are with them!
I may have missed this, but haven’t heard anything about Obama visiting the Fargo area — I am shocked if he hasn’t because other President’s would have done so immediately to support the people and if other Presidents did not, well the media would have been all over them. Thanks, Pat Rippeth
I went to NDSU in Fargo and was there for the 2006 Flood, helped with sand bagging to placing sand bags in North Fargo. That year NDSU did not cancel class to help but the administration was encouraging staff to cancel/excuse absents for the sand bag effort. I hope that Fargo won’t take down the leves until after the second flood in 2-3 weeks. I hope Rick is there to keep us updated.
Dear Rick, A very belated thank you for your patriotic and professional work on 9/11. I watched you for the first time that day and feel proud when I see you today.
