Distribution of H1N1 Vaccine to Begin Next Week
State and local governments have begun placing orders for H1N1 vaccine. The first 600-thousand doses will be distributed by Tuesday, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
More than 250-million doses are expected over the course of the fall and early winter. Federal health officials say this will be enough to accommodate everyone who wants to get the vaccine, however its availability will be sporadic during the first days and weeks.
One of the top priorities during the initial phase of the vaccination campaign will be pregnant women. They are at much higher risk for suffering complications from H1N1 than from seasonal flu.
According to CDC figures released today, H1N1 has caused the deaths of 28 pregnant women in the U.S. so far, and is responsible for approximately 100 intensive care unit hospitalizations.

Why isn’t anyone investigating who in Washington was asleep at the wheel when they approved the Chinese manfucturing and distribution of this H1N1 vaccine? Let’s just serve up our population to a Communist nation that has no reluctance to spy on us and make plans to take over our country! I won’t be taking that vaccine, and trust there will be a few others making the same choice.
Just like health care reform, put together in too big of a hurry. Makes me nervous.

The H1N1 vaccine has not been tested long enough. At a forum with my local health dept, they couldn’t even tell us what was in the vaccine. So they are promoting it even though they didn’t know what’s in it.
I live in WNY and it is being mandated in all hospitals. If we don’t take the vaccine, we will lose our jobs.
I have contacted government officials and no one seems to be able to do anything for us. Are we living in America or we in a communist country now?
I live in WNY and all healthcare workers are being mandated to get this H1N1 vaccine. If we don’t take it, we will lose our jobs. This hasn’t been tested long enough. There are warnings from the FDA that animal reproduction studies have not been done, and that it is unknown if the H1N1 2009 Monovalent vaccine, Intranasal or FluMist can cause fetal harm when administered to a pregnant woman or can affect reproduction capacity. It states should be given only if clearly needed.
Someone needs to help the healthcare workers. No one should be forced to put chemicals in their bodies if they don’t want to.
The hundreds of thousands of military personel serving this country are “forced” to do the same…and they’re not complaining. Its part of service. Who are you healthcare people serving besides your own paranoia—shame, shame, you should be smarter than that! You took the vocation to serve as well, right? So what’s the problem? Don’t let your imagination run away…it is for your own good and for the good of all those that you will serve. Thanks for what you do; now, back to the vocation that you were trained to do!
